330 ml. bottle poured into a chalice. This Tripel pours a clear golden with half an inch of white cap. Show average retention and lace.

Aroma of light Belgian yeast notes. Subtle and quite subdued.

Decent malt flavor but more of a BPA than a Tripel in nature. Offers a coarse pils character and dryness, along with an interesting and perhaps at odds creaminess to the feel of the beer. Lacks finesse and complexity to be blunt. Simple yet masks the ABV fairly well.

Feel does offer a bit of character but is limited by a certain faux spice character to the finish. Overall not rating too high for a Tripel but still a ale. Yeast notes are a bit too subtle to generate any enthusiasm.

The sweet smell of alcohol is also present in the nose, although in this beer, it is more smoky and more spicy. The taste is quite spicy and mostly spicy, especially with touches of pepper. This is still drinkable, despite the detectable presence of alcohol, because the body remains soft. The aftertaste is too spicy and alcohol just to mingle to give a tangy finish. Probably the richest flavors from the Leffe brewery (AB InBev) but not the most drinkable.

A: Hazy blond color decent dense head, apparently i should have poured it more carefully a lot of fragments are floating around;

S: rather sweet, grains, apricots, pineapple

T: not delivering on the promise of the nose, some hoppiness, but mainly something soapy overpowering other things.

M: Good thickness good abv but the soapiness bothers

O: this one wasn't great, altough i think that i might have had a bad bottle

Poured into a Jopen goblet for better head retention. Nice two cm off white head over a dark yellow, very hazy beer.

The aroma is unpleasantly sweet, not the smell of fruit or chocolate, but of synthetic sweeteners. Luckily there is a whiff a spice too.

Taste is a bit yeasty, but again the sweeteners spoil it.

Nothing wrong with the mouthfeel: full bodied with just the right level of carbonation.

Overall not a bad beer if you like your tripels sweet. Personally I prefer more hoppy, yeasty varieties.
