Gold and perfectly clear. Frothy white head, not persisting. Spare lacing. Grainy, light toasted malty aroma. Fruity esters like banana. Bit of earthy hops and some spices. Moderate malty sweetness, caramel, light bitterness. Medium body, creamy with medium-high carbonation. Medium lasting, medium-dry finish. Bit astringent, spiciness bit too strong in aftertaste. Some warm alcohol.

It is way too sweet IMO. Lack of bitterness with caramely sweet taste make it quite cloying. In a mouth feel is quite harsh.

Pours a golden color with super thick lumpy head. Smells fruity, yeasty, and a little like an adjunct lager. Bitterness is low and tastes a lot like a wheat beer. Not too impressed, Orval is much much.

Poured into a chalice: color is gold, transparent, light effevescent, head is off white and presents about 2 inches thick, nice lingering thick top of at least 1/2 inch and great lacing. Transparency is odd for a belgian style but head presence is countering.

Smell is yeast, clove, phenol, lighter banana, some lighter fruits such as apricot/pear like flavor.

Taste is similar to the aroma with a bit more grain and malt flavor, with fairly balanced flavors of yeast, clove, phenol, pear. sweetness is a bit stronger than some Belgian blondes.

Mouthfeel is sweeter than dry, but still dry at the finish but sweet on the sides of the mouth. Moderate carbonation.

Overall this is a good beer, but it seems to be overmanaged - too clear, too sweet on the finish.

Pours a golden color, with a fairly large head and lots of carbonation. A slightly spicy aroma, with hints of banana, cinnamon and honey. This beer goes down smooth, and is perfect for a nice summer day on the porch. Also pairs well with pasta and seafood.
