Poured into a chalice: color is gold, transparent, light effevescent, head is off white and presents about 2 inches thick, nice lingering thick top of at least 1/2 inch and great lacing. Transparency is odd for a belgian style but head presence is countering.

Smell is yeast, clove, phenol, lighter banana, some lighter fruits such as apricot/pear like flavor.

Taste is similar to the aroma with a bit more grain and malt flavor, with fairly balanced flavors of yeast, clove, phenol, pear. sweetness is a bit stronger than some Belgian blondes.

Mouthfeel is sweeter than dry, but still dry at the finish but sweet on the sides of the mouth. Moderate carbonation.

Overall this is a good beer, but it seems to be overmanaged - too clear, too sweet on the finish.

Pours a golden color, with a fairly large head and lots of carbonation. A slightly spicy aroma, with hints of banana, cinnamon and honey. This beer goes down smooth, and is perfect for a nice summer day on the porch. Also pairs well with pasta and seafood.

Poured from bottle into massive glass, yields 2 fingers of massive cream colored head, nice retention and lacing. Lightish amber in the glass, crystal clear to look at. Smells of Belgian yeast, all bubblegum and light clove. Taste pretty much that fruity esters on the front that leads into sweet malt and finishes with a semi sweet spicy finish. Not pad, a little sweet for my liking, prob a little too sweet for a pale.

Beautiful golden color. Nice foamy head. Distinctly see lots of rising bubbles / carbonation. "Thick" flavor, pretty demanding but not necessarily from being strong (or high ABV). I think I like the looks better than the taste - but it's not dreadful, just different. All those bubbles "feed" the head which stays around.

A go to beer, pretty well sold everywhere these days. My choice as a BBQ beer. For a mass produced brew it is actually quite sweet and refreshing, no significant scent to this one beyond the sugary content, but smooth enough with just enough gas to quaff back, and at 6.6% you can manage a few before the BBQ gets out of control!.....FIRE!..FIRE!
