Not sure why this strong beer scores so low. I enjoyed the taste very much. Nice thick lace, deep golden/copper color. Smooth and full bodied while the bitterness is kept in check. Apple and caramel overtones dominate its sweet taste.

I haven't had a Leffe for quite some time, but i bought two bottles for nostalgia's sake because I really like it in the past. Anyway, looks the same, the smell is touched by malt, some banana, sweet artificial smell (syrup?!). a presence of alcohol is noted and some robust smell aswell.

Seems that the brewery changed the beer formula and the taste of it is really mediocre. there are many beers that are better than Leffe blonde.

For nostalgia's sake, and to see if it's as good as I remember it or not. Brown 11.2 oz. bottle, displays a best by date of 11-10-18!? This gives me reason to pause and wonder if it is only the packaging that has changed...Pours a fine white tall foamy head that lingers, into my Belgian style goblet. Apple juicey looking light golden ale with steady fast stream of rising bubbles. Lacey side coating and plenty of froth at halfway. when swirled, it fluffs up into a 1/4 inch head again.

First aromas - bubble gum, vanilla, floral, light clove, grape. Light malts in background. Hops? What hops?

Sweet light malts up in yo face. Some of the same qualities are present here also. Light alcohol presence in sticky wet finish. Syrupy sweet, simple and challenging. What happened to the Leffe I liked so much??

Carbonated, but feels flat somehow. Am I being punked?

Will be interesting to see if anyone else thinks it changed.

A rich golden color with a big creamy head, that leaves a lot on the side of the glass as it recedes. A pleasant aroma with something I can't identify. While the mouthfeel is nothing special, I do like the flavor. It has that same something-I-can't-identify as the aroma. This is a Belgian ale. I put it in the same category as a few beers I've tasted that call themselves Belgian white. This one is superior - my favorite Belgian. I like the foil over the cap on the bottle - a classy touch.

The bottle contains 11.2 ounces. Huh? 0.8 ounces shy of a full bottle of beer? Is this because it's Belgian? Or is a way to raise the price without seeming to rais the price?

Look: A bright golden color with a large head.
Smell: entirely unremarkable
Taste: tastes of grain and yeast. Perhaps a bit to the bread side of things, but by no means overpowering. Some sweet notes as well.
Feel: Very smooth, well carbonated but not too much.

A very solid Belgian blonde. Nothing spectacular, but will always deliver.

Golden see through look to this brew with a dissipating head. I'm getting a clove and yeast scent from this beer, smells right for a Belgian. Has a spicy clove flavor with the clove mixing with the yeast character into the finish along with a slight hop bite also on the finish. Seriously carbonated feel.

A - Pours a clear gold with a large foamy white head. The head leaves tons of soapy lacing.

S - Aroma is Belgian yeast, banana and cloves.

T - The taste follows the aroma. The taste is Belgian yeast, banana, clove, candied sugar, pear and some light white pepper.

M - Medium body with medium/low carbonation. Soft mouthfeel with a crisp dry finish.

O - This is a nice Belgian blonde. The flavors are a touch sweet but definetly wouldn't turn one down.

Pours a clear golden color with a one inch white head that faded pretty quickly to a cap that left a little lacing. Smells and tastes of Belgian yeast, banana, clove and sweet malt. Finishes with a little bitterness and an astringent quality. Medium bodied and carbonated.

Ugh, the clove overtook this beer, it was almost pungent. The smell, look and feel were pleasant but I could not get past the taste.

Pours a crystal clear copper gold with a white head. Smells of Belgian yeast, bananas, and bubble gum. Tastes of banana esters, Belgian yeast, bubblegum, and sweet caramel. Medium bodied with medium carbonation and a rich creamy feel. Overall it is a very tasty Belgian pale, and while it has its flaws, it's cheap, and that's what really matters.

L: It looks delightful, with a lovely white head. Decent lacing.

S: Smells fine for the style. Small amounts of skunk can be detected Heineken style.

T: Tastes acceptable. The light malts provide a lovely bready/hay flavor that serves as a good backbone for the slight bitterness from the hops and the detectable funk. I'm not floored, and the balance could be better.

F: Medium to high carbonation. Great for palate cleansing with a meal.

O: Ehh. If offered I'd happily drink one. It isn't bad for the style at all, but I'd sooner grab a "Belgian" produced in the US.
