The beer comes in a medium to deep gold, clear.

The aroma hits of honey, sweet malts, sweet orange peel, a bit of grain, sugary sweetness.

The flavor follows with sugary sweetness up front, honey on bread, onto a medium dry finish with more lingering honey and citrus peel, onto a light earthy hop bitterness. Medium to high carbonation moves the beer along with a smooth mouthfeel with hints of alcohol has the beer goes down.

Wow, not a good one here. Disappointed, cloudy, slightly skunky smell and really, not a good beer. Oh well, you can try hundreds of others. Skip this one, though.

Served in a Leffe chalice, it pours a dark amber yellow, mildly transparent, with a one finger head that dissipates rather quickly.

Its bouquet is very assertive. Malty sweetness, caramel, bread and banana. Very nice.

Upfront a pleasant bitterness and nice carbonation, and it attenuates into banana, caramel and malts. Its aftertaste is long and sweet with an underlying tone of banana. Medium body, and it has a pleasant creamy texture.

Don't know why the Bros gave a low rating. This is not at all a crappy Belgian. I love Belgians the most, and while not the most flavorful and magically delicious, it is a serviceable choice

I'm not normally a blonde beer guy and I actually got this by accident. I had their Bruin and today ordered another and, when I began to pour it into a glass, saw that the color was quite a bit lighter. After looking at the label I saw they brought me the wrong one by mistake. The blonde has a medium color in a glass, slightly clear and with a decent head that disappears after a short amount of time. The initial taste is fairly strong and a bit of a hoppy/malty mix. It's surprisingly smooth and the aftertaste wins it for me. It leaves you craving another sip due to its sweetness. It's much richer than other blondes that I've had (I like this but not all would, necessarily). Thought I got this by accident, I think it'd get it again. Nice on a hot day when a dark might be a bit too much.

A - Bright gold pour with steady mild carbonation.

S - Coriander, yeasty, some honey malt, mild banana.

T - Straight yeast, light banana, some peppery seeds of paradise, and cloves.

M - Medium body with very creamy texture.

O - A solid go to beer that opens the eyes of macro drinkers. Had this so many times in the past and wondering why it took so long to finally review this beer.

Blond ale pours as such color wise, decent plus .5" head on it, minimized belgian yeast profile.

Taste was pretty mild, didn't expect that, tons of carbonation in the mouthfeel brought out the tea aspect. Way to much alcohol in the mouthfeel though. Body is thin. Don't get the expensive aspect of this beer looking back at the end of the bottle.

Pale amber color with a large white foamy head. Has a light fruity grain smell to it. Can taste malts spices along with some kind of fruit. Goes down smooth.

Never gave this brew a second thought. My nephew just moved back from Germany and was a frequent flyer through Belgium. His favorite is the Leffe Brune. Of all the beer on hand at Thanksgiving after dinner he recommended this craft of the immediate brew choices. Immediately I enjoyed the spice candy drop flavour. Lighter bodied indeed with hints of mild grains. Not in the mood to sit down and collect my beer thoughts are n paper but rather remember a fine time indeed. Can't lose with this.

This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was an amber to golden color with a one finger white foamy head. Light lacing and somewhat stringy.
The smell has some clove, banana to yeasty esters, some bubble-gum tones. Little bit of pears.
The taste was somewhat sweet smooth honey flavor with some doughy/bready malt. Light caramel slides in for the balance.
The mouthfeel was about a light on the body with a sly sessionably sweet texture. It shows a decent smoothness on my tongue.
Overall, its not a bad Belgian pale ale, its just not one of the best ones on the market.

Perfectly clear red-orange-yellow, off-white head that is dense on top but course beneath, good streams of carbonation. Smell and flavor are a bit monotone, with varying potencies of clove, bubblegum, and banana esters. The flavor also carries some peppery spice and earthiness, I'd guess the malt is similar to Pilsner. Seems sweet initially, but finishes dry. Creamy medium body.
Simplistic for a true Belgian ale, and the flavors seem more like a hefeweizen, but still tasty. Ignoring the expectations based on its origins and competition, this is a great beer.

I'm shocked at the bros rating. This should not be rated and put on the same level as the American light beer that really taste like water and not beer.
Because It's a really good beer. It's smooth and very drinkable. It's not the best for its style which I think is Duvel. But this is the Best beer in this style for the price. You can get a 6 for 8.99$ . If you're looking to explore Belgian ales this beer is a great place to start.
Color is what you want! Gold perfection. Tastes and smells like malty banana nutty and little caramel notes. Nothing funky or weird going on. Just greatness and smooth. Would like to try this on tap.

This is my 1st true Belgian Ale & I was quite surprised how much I like it?

It has a very thick head with slightly fruity flavor to me. This my 1st beer review, "Ever", so please don't pick my review apart too muc.

I ppurchased it TW&M for under $8. So to me that that's to me a very good price for a better than average beer.

Poured into a pint glass from a bomber. Hazy straw yellow with 3 finger frothy head. Taste of clove and malt with a smooth and balanced feel.
Enjoyable beer.

Poured from 11oz bottle into pint glass. Love the bottle, by the way. Nice touch with the gold foil. Hazy coppery gold with two finger white sudsy head. Decent lacing

Smell is bready and fruity sweetness with a hint of spice

Taste is banana, with again a hint of spice. Little bit of hops, but mainly malty bready sweetness, and then banana again with a hint of alcohol at the back.

Feel is full bodied with a touch of warmth from alcohol.

Overall a pleasant warm, relaxing Belgian pale ale. In a word: cozy

It's your very standard Belgian blonde. Hazy straw yellow body, good head retention; smells minerally, estery but no banana; good pale malt background and spices that keep it interesting. Flavour is straightforward, similarly estery, pale malt, a bit of earthiness. Mouthfeel is medium-thinner bodied. Easy to drink, refreshing on a warm day. It's a fairly standard archetype of the Belgian blonde style, especially given how available it is.

Pours a nice thick head with Amber colored liquid. Some lacing on glass. Strong smell, lots of wheat and banana with some clove and cinnamon. Taste is less strong on the tongue but emphasizes the smell. Quite enjoyable. Medium body and carbonation with a boozy aftertaste that isn't so pleasant but tolerable.

Not bad, having one in a hotel room in Paris right now. America surpassed Europe in making quality beers about 10 years ago so can't wait to get home.

This beer is a good Belgian brew. It's not going to win many awards and is widely available. I enjoy getting to the bottom of one when I'm looking for something refreshing. The head is firm, the beer is blond (as indicated on the label), tastes a bit yeasty.

A: Clear, transparent, golden with constant bubbles
S: Sweet bubblegum, clove, light banana, bready, orange
T: Belgian spice, white pepper, bubblegum, clove, light orange, hint of alcohol, bready
M: Medium-light with medium carbonation
O: I enjoy this but would prefer a Hefe. Probably some better examples of the style out there but I'm not one to seek out belgians.

Had this at a local restaurant. Here goes:

A: Actually quite good. Clear yellow with plenty of bubbles Pours a large head with great lacing as well.

S: Lots - and I mean lots - of clove. Very bready yeast and some citrus, orange, and tangerines. Very bready and fruity.

T: Follows the nose, except with some bubblegum. Predominant flavors are clove, orange, and bready yeast.

F: Nice and bready. Good.

O: Good beer.

Poured into a tulip. Gold with a good head. It smells like homebrewers' T-58 yeast, with wheat and an unidentifiable yeastiness. Taste has light banana, low bitterness. A little caramel malt. Mouthfeel is rather thick and smooth. Not nearly as good as Leffe Brune, or most other Belgian blondes, but certainly drinkable.

Pours brownish color. Light brown. Havy head that lasts for quite some time. Yeasty smell. Taste is yeasty and malty. Slightly chalky taste. A good beer. Don't know if I could have more than 1 at a time.
