Poured 12oz bottle into snifter glass. 6.6% abv

Appearance- Pours a medium amber color, brilliant clarity and thin white head quickly receding.

Smell- Banana, clove, phenols.

Taste- Spicy grains, notably clove and pepper. Banana flavor as well along with Belgian yeast flavor. Finishes dry, and a bit bitter along with notes of pepper.

Mouthfeel- Medium in body with medium carbonation.

Overall- A solid yet common Belgian style. Not rare but well brewed as the flavor is there and is lighter in body that its 6.6 abv would suggest.

Pours a clear medium gold color with thick white head leaving minimal lacing. Nose is spicy and yeasty. Taste follows with a bit of banana, clove and bread. Fairly dry on the finish, a mild blonde.

Poured into a 12oz snifter. Beer is a clear gold color, with a half-inch white head. Smell is mostly spices, hops, and malt. Taste is spicy (pepper and coriander), malt, yeast, and a subtle hint of fruit like bananas and apples. Mouthful is very even, beer is highly carbonated, feels good in mouth, and finishes with a small pleasant aftertaste. Beer can be refreshing, which is unusual for most heavy Belgian ales.

This beer can be had for $9.99 for a 6-pack in many places so price is a big plus. There are better Belgian Ales on the market, but they cost twice as much, and are not readily available everywhere. AB InBev owns Leffe, and that is not a bad thing here, since their established wide distrubition paths get this beer in many places. Combined with the good price, this makes this an easy beer to find and afford. Recommended, and a good beer to try if someone wants to branch out to the Belgian Ales.

Classic feel and 6.6 abv that you do not taste. What I mean to say is the ABC of an ipa but the taste of wheat beer.
