The Leffe Blonde, only a bit stronger, and not that different. I used to be a Leffe fan, it's relatively cheap in Europe and a six-pack will make a decent party either by yourself or with a pal. I gave this one a 'good' rating. I mean, some people have never had Leffe yet, and it has to be tried... it's called the 'Budweiser' of Europe, only a bit better.

From bottle, pours a clear amber with a small white head. Aroma caramel, banana, clove, vanilla. Taste apples, pear, banana, spice, caramel, candy sugar. Very nice.

Amber copper colour with a medium sized steady head of soapy foam. Smell of bread, cloves and alcohol. The taste starts okay, with bread malt and alcohol again, but it's got that sugary malty flavour i tend to dislike with a lot of Leffe beers. This beer tends to get boring quite fast. Typical Leffe. Due to the high abv, this beer even feels like a chore in the end. I can't imagine that being its purpose.

Poured into a tulip glass froma 33 cl. bottle bought at Carrefour in Brussels.
-Very transparent liquid. Amber-reddish color, nice to see it. No head of foam.
-Very nice smell. It's a spicy one. In my opinion, there are some hints of banana.
-The taste is good. It reminds to spices though it isn't truly spicy.
-The feel is good but not extraordinary.
The smell is the better part of the beer, in my opinion, it's disappointing overall.

From elcervecero. In Tongerlo cup. Playing Bit Evolution. Too much sugary. The Leffe tripel is much better. This one tires

Amber copper color with a thick head with good retention and leaving laces.
Aroma with good phenolic notes (cloves, cinnamon, vanilla), pineapple juice, plums, dough, banana and caramels.
Concentrated flavor with notes of caramels, grapes, plums, honey, Cointreau liquor, banana, some of the characteristic medicine from their beers and cinnamon. Dry aftertaste that partially removes its sweetness to make it bearable.
Medium towards full body with appropriate carbonation. Alcohol of 9% just contributes positively to its flavor with no warming sensation.
Strong Belgian Ale with decent fruity and phenolic flavors, it just could tune down a bit its sweetness. Though I didn’t think it was too cloying for this small bottle.
