25 cl bottle tasted on 5 April 2008.

The beer poured a redish color with a slight off white head which gave way quickly to just a ring on the edge. The nose had a slight fruit, berry aroma but tha faded and didn't leave much else. The taste is mixed berry with some peppery notes and a slight citrus taste as well. The fruit taste is not overly convincing as if from a fruit syrup but it not bad either. Overall the taste doesn't last long.

A - A clear dark pink beer with a white/pink head. It looks a bit like lemonade.

S - It smells like lemonade too - raspberries.

T - A very sweet raspberry beer, for the rest isn't there anything left to go for.

M - A medium carbonatation that feels soft and not pricky in my mouth. No bitterness and/or alcohol to discover. Just before swallowings there is a craemy softness.

O - It is not a bad beer and it tastes well made. It is just not my style anymore.

This is one of the better fruity beers I've had over the years. It's also stronger than most of the ones I've tried. I didn't get the feel of artificial flavor as some have stated. The raspberry fruit flavor is fairly intense, dominating anything else like a grapefruit radler would.

Artificial fruit taste. I did not even finish my glass. If you want malt/hubs tasting beer this is not for you. If you like sweet fruit juice with alcohol then this is for you

Was trying to avoid this one, but finally succumbed to reviewing.

This really does look like a fizzy cherry-ade pop, bright clear red body, with a pink foamy head.

Smell is it's best feature, light fresh and fruity.

Taste is a little tart and highly carbonated. 5% abv is still as strong as some premium pilsners.

Might be ok on a scorching hot day after a 50 mile crawl on hands and knees through the Sahara desert, but failing that this is for all intents and purposes an alco-pop.

The worst offering from Leffe.....they should drop it IMO

Alcohol soft nose, which is characteristic of the range, but with a fragrance, style syrup Tesseire red fruit (pomegranate, raspberry, strawberry). Mouth quite watery and without much fat and flavor that does not spice of Leffe Blonde. Just a taste of red fruit syrup but that sounds a bit too artificial to be really valuable as fruit beer.

Is this really a beer? I think not. No hint of hops, malt, yeast or grain of any sort.
Raspberry and sweet. Quite pleasant I guess and not what I was expecting. Low score due comparison with real beers.

A: Color reddish

S: Alcohol soft berries

T: A little fat, alcohol, also watery fruits

M: A bit spicy

D: Pleasant and refreshing

---

A good fruit beer, not too sweet nor too sour, just perfect for a fruit beer. I like it. Probably the best of the Leffe-trademark.
