I've been in here several times over the last year that i have been working in Camarillo.

They have a solid beer selection, no special releases or rare beers to be found in here, but still pretty good. One thing i have noticed is that the selection doesn't seem to change a whole lot and i'm not sure about the amount of craft beer they are selling.

I would buy with caution when it comes to something that may be sensitive to age, unless it's marked with a freshness date.

The guy at the counter is nice and seems pleased that you are taking advantage of their beer selection.

This is not a place that i would want to shop at regularly just cause there are better options fairly close by, but it's cool to come in once every few months to see if anythings changed on the beer shelves.

Unlike some of the other reviewers, I had no problem with the guy behind the counter in person (over the phone, he was a little hard to understand, and not very talkative). In fact, he happily chatted me up about a FW Anniversary X-XVII vertical he'd put on recently for his friends, and seemed to genuinely geek out about some other stuff he's cellared for himself. I drove down from about an hour away to pick up some 2012 Parabola I'd heard about, and they had a great selection of FW stuff, new and old (XVI, XVII, DDBA, ┬žucaba)--in addition to the Parabola (which, for a two-year-old vintage was a totally reasonable $30), I snagged a few bottles of 2013 ┬žucaba for the same $16 that 2014 is currently running everywhere around here. It's true that the selection of non-FW stuff is kind of spotty and certainly not too impressive, but I was still a happy customer!

I have visted this store on two occations. This place has a wide selection of brews, wine and spirits. Has a couple hard to find micro brews as well. As the other reviewers have mentioned, I am not too sure how the turn around is. I noticed that many of the bottles were covered in dust. In addition, the store owner has an attitude problem...not worth dealing with. I was looking to purchase a $30 bottle of beer, but he wouldn't sell it too me, but was more concerned about me joining his facebook its some club or something. On the second visit he proceeded to yell across the store at my buddy, scolding him for looking at a bottle of beer he was interested in buying....needless to say he put it back and we left. I will spend my money elsewhere.

Living in C-Town, this is my go-to store. The only gripe I have is that a lot of the brews are too old to be sitting on the shelf. They DO have the best selection in Camarillo, however.

I got the same treatment the first few times I went in. Now that I'm a regular customer (spender) they are very friendly to me. They've special ordered me more than one brew, and keep them in stock regularly for me.

As for the Double Bastard, they seem to have trouble getting the stone specialty stuff. I had to go to BevMo for Double Bastard and 05.05.05 Vertical Epic last year; but, in their defense they did make quite an effort to get them both for me, and kept me updated with their progress along the way.

Visited this store on my way home from Thousand Oaks.

2 Coolers of beer, including many good German and Belgian Brews.

In the back of the store is a display of singles and they let you pick out your own 6 and give you a 10% discount on it.

They did not have the two I was looking for, Double Bastard and Westvleteren Abt 12 (Yellow Cap.)

I noticed the first post about the owners. The owners of the store are the standard suspicious Immigrant shopkeepers but they don't bother you. I have had far worst treatment from other stores.

This is definitely the best stocked liquor store, beer wise, in Camarillo, if not all the west side of ventura county. I wasn't expecting it when i walked in. They tauted good wine outside but i found at least 4 coolers of some really good locals and imports. they also have 2 isles, both sides, of belgians and belgian styles in tall bottles and 12 ozers. Very good stuff from all over.

Can't say much about the service, the folks at the counter looked at me suspiciously and weren't to talkative, but hey, it may have been a bad day.
