Well, I must say this little shop is a jewel in an area where only beer by the case is available. Stopped in not expecting much but I was initially looking for the Erie Brewing Red Ryder Scotch ale, when I saw that their small draft selection was pretty weak with some Sam Adams and Blue Moon. I looked to the left where the coolers stood. Victory, Yard's, some mixed Belgians nice selection I picked up a Southern Tier Old Man Winter and then a sixer of 04 Bigfoot, a Stoudt's Dubbel, and Trubbel de Yards. Service was decent nice girl worked the desk helped me and my buddies find other things to do in the Erie scene.

Update stopped in this past weekend 11-13-06 and this place had a great tap selection with drafts ranging from 2-2.75 can't beat that also growlers to go and a picked up a sixer of Southern Tier Harvest Ale good stuff.

Come here when visiting family in Erie. It is in a small strip mall next to a consignment shop. So it is a nice combination for my wife and me. They always have a small (about a dozen) choice taps, and good food. Service is fast and friendly. Take out selection in the cooler is good. A bonus was Founders Project PAM on tap for Christmas Eve 2015.

I was in Erie and swung by the 6-Pack and as my ratings indicated, was very pleased. They had a solid range of local and regional beer styles on tap and their bottle/can selection was impressive. Being from out of town, I appreciated the staff's knowledge about their offerings which aided me in deciding between the many choices.

A small little shop in Erie. I was happy to see a few nice items. They did have the first Stone products I had seen at the time. Also, they had 97 triple bock bottles. Unfortunately I have a case of those guys, so they are unnecessary. A few micros, but really not a big selection.
I was happy to find six packs and singles in PA, but most of the products were outdated, and my beloved Samuel smith oatmeal stout was definitely in bad shape.

I found this place in Erie and was pleasantly surprised. They had about 10 things on tap that you could just drink in the place or take a growler to go. There was plenty of room to move around and there was about 6-7 coolers to easily view what bottled beer you wanted. It sucked that a lot of the beer was macro or just boring type stuff. With all the room in the place they could certainly be the most dominant place in Erie to buy beer. Add more micros and imports to quench the thirt of beer-savvy travelers (who actually lives in Erie?) with more coolers. The service was ok but not readily available or informational. Value was good, and overall this is the only place to go for sixers and growlers in Erie.

I have stopped in this place a number of times in the past couple years and had some great beers on draft for good prices. Rogue, Southern Tier, and other good offerings. Even Imp. brews for about $4.50 for a 23 ounce glass. Bombers and six pack selection are good including Dogfish head, VooDoo, Bells, Anchor Stem. Well lit, none smoking are appealing. Also you can get growler fills of any of their tap brews. And within a couple blocks of Oskars and only a mile or two from the beach on the lake make this a great stop.

I justed stopped by last evening and picked up Doulbe Simcoe, Ruination, Green Flash West Coast IIPA, Victory Wild Hop, Ommegang Three Philosphers. And while there enjoyed Ommegang Hennepin on Draft and got a growler of it to go.

I stumbled upon the other location first. The nice, young lady at the register informed me that there was another location (the one I am reviewing) elsewhere in town. She gave me impeccable directions and I found somewhat of a goldmine for this part of PA. Lots of great beers to choose and some great taps as well. I was happiest to find some Southern Tier beers, both in bottle and on tap. Although a bit pricey, it wasn't too bad for PA bottle shop prices. If you are in the area and need some suds, this is it.

Well, being that I'm from Erie, this is a place that I frequent quite a bit. Most of the time to have a draft beer, being that Wegmans has a much better bottle selection and it's cheaper too.

The quality of the beer here is good. They have a pretty small selection, therefore nothing sits on the shelves for too long. And if it does, they split up the sixers and throw them in the single bottle cooler for a fair price, and they sell pretty quickly that way. This is the only upside to having a smaller selection, but it's nice to not have to worry about buying old beer.

They have roughly 6 beers on tap at a time, and as of late (I'm updating here >fall 2010) the tap selection is much better than it used to be. Southern Tier, Great Lakes, Dogfish, and Bells are frequent fliers on the tap lines which is fine by me.

They have a mix and match singles cooler in which you can build your own 6-pack for $10.50, but it's a pretty limited selection. They usually have bombers of Rogue, Stone, Chimay, Southern Tier, Otto's, and Voodoo beers from $7 up through $14.

They've kept a decent supply of winter beers in stock this winter for being such a small store...Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout, Victory Hop Wallop, Samuel Smith's Winter Welcome, Anchor Christmas Ale, Great Lakes Christmas Ale, Sierra Nevada Bigfoot, Troegs Nugget Nectar...etc.

As good as some of those beers are, I still think that their selection is pretty limited being that this is Pennsylvania. They don't have many beers from Weyerbacher, Stoudt's, Penn, Churchwork's, and even very limited offerings from Bell's, Victory, and Troegs at times.

I think that craft beer is starting to catch on in Erie, so hopefully they improve their selection a bit in the future.

Aside from the owner (who is not super friendly) the staff is really friendly and makes you feel welcome.

Despite my lowish rating - it is my favorite place to beverage.

But it is like drinking in a middle school cafeteria.

Just bar food but about as cheap as you can get for very tasty options.

Beer selection always great and drafts are sooooo inexpensive for what you are getting it’s nuts.

Tap system itself is uber clean and cold. Making the beers perfect examples of what they should be.

Good 6 pack selection

Weird crowd of middle aged normal not quite misfits.

This has been my go to place for beer for the last year. They are a bit hit or miss with their singles, but I have always been able to find something new and/or something I want to buy when I stop in.

They COULD use a better selection of microbrews, but as I said, they have enough new stuff here to keep me interested.

The prices are a bit high but not too bad. 2.50 is about average for a bottle of non-macro beer, and their bombers seem fairly priced.

One thing that I should note is that now that Wegmans has is selling beer this place may have troubles. Wegmans has a better selection of just about everything and the prices are cheaper. However, Wegmans doesn't, as of yet, allow you to create mixed six-packs, so I may still visit once in awhile to make some of those, but the majority of my beer buying will be taking place at Wegmans when I go on my weekly grocery run.

Was driving through so I decided to stop to see if I could find some Voodoo beers. Was psyched to find a great selection of Voodoo's offerings.

Still not used to the way they sell beer in PA. Seemed like a 7-11 with taps and some sub shop booths/tables. Not the most exciting place to have a couple. The selection was decent however and the guy behind the bar/register was a friendly guy. One suggestion I would make is for them to get more bombers and to offer more singles. Pricing seemed to be pretty much in line for what you would expect.

There is nothing fancy here. I find it like drinking in a convenience store. However, the selection is pretty solid for Erie and the staff is pretty cool too. I buy 6er's to go all the time, and the tap selection is pretty solid for growler fills or to drink there. I would like a mix-n-match option.

If you live in Erie, (or just visiting) and are looking quality Craft beers, this is a good place to frequent.

They have a half dozen taps which they rotate with different micros. In the coolers they they have a decent selection of singles and six packs + a few bombers from brewers like Troegs, Stone, Lindemans, Anchor, Dogfish Head, Flying Dog, Victory, Lancaster, Chimay, Rouge, Voodoo + many more. I personally would like to see an even better selection, but its not bad.

The store is in a good neighborhood and its easy to get to.
