Pours caramel with a pinky of sand colored head. Some lacing & head retention

S: Toasty malt & not much else

T: Toasty malt, dryness & a touch of grainyness as this warms. Grainyness & dryness are the main features as this warms. Finishes dry & toasty, plus a touch watery

MF: Light/medium bodied, low carbonation

This drinks more like a mediocre American Brown, sorry Pete's Place, y'all missed the mark on this one. Either jack up the hops or malt or both!

One of my favorite choc brewes. Got it on vacation, Moore ok.
Pours amber, nice head that disapates quickly, no real lace to be had.
Aroma of malts and bread.
Taste of bread like malts, toast, yet earthy.
Taste of caramel malts, sweetness of raisin bread with a slight hop bitterness at finish.
Mouthfeel is smooth, hop crispness is there
Overall a good malty amber. Would buy again, bring on vacation.

This beer gushes out of the bottle upon opening. It pours a cloudy amber color. The head is massive, and recedes slowly into a thich cap of airy foam. The aroma is of light caramel malt, and not much more. The taste is similar to the aroma, but a bit stronger. There is, however, a nasty chalky thing going on in the aftertaste. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with high carbonation. Overall, this is a bad beer that I will not be drinking again.

Thanks Mom and Dad for picking up this unobtainable brew from OK on your trip to AR.

Copper and bronze color intertwined with great bubbling. That is all underneath a good two fnger head and thick foam that lasts through all twelve ounces.

Spritzy, toasted cracker with mild grass and earthen hopping.

The hops come out pretty well, almost take over the flavor of this beer on the finish. Starts with caramel and cracker and finishes with medium orange bitterness and Earth. Good session ale, underrated

Poured into Old Rasputin nonic pint...

A: a slightly hazy brownish red with a small off white head with good retention

S: a dusty, grapefruit peel and piney hop aroma with a solid caramel malt backdrop that blends with the hops to create an orange liqoure/orange marmalade cake aroma

T: not as hoppy as the aroma led me to expect, however, nicely balance with the malt flavors. that same dusty flavor lingers into the bitter finish but it seems to help give the beer some complexity, as this one seems fairly average

M: light medium body with nice carbonation and a chalky dry finish

Overall, an average amber that is affordable and tasty. worth a shot especially for the price

A: Pours a very pale amber color with an absolutely massive head that fades slowly.

S: Sweet caramel malts dominate the smell with a small citrus hop note near the end.

T: Subdued caramel malt make up the majority of the brew with the flavor of toasted bread showing through. A hint of hops come through as well to balance everything out.

O: Pretty darn good beer. Nothing crazy, just simple and delicious.

12oz->Pint glass

A ~ Deep Amber with a 1/4" of white, cratered head.

S ~ Sweet malts, toast w/ honey & a touch of floral/citrus hops

T ~ Sweet with a hop background. Notes of caramel, waffle cone, yeast roll...notes of earthy hop oils. Also Choc's brewer's yeast. Simple taste.

M ~ Creamy, semi-thin mouthfeel. Hops are a good backbone for the sweet malt.

D ~ Very enjoyable, but so different from the first time I had it earlier in the year. Doesn't wow the palette but is a good, not-overhopped ale. Worth trying, yet from other reviews it seems like they are having consistency problems.

Bottle courtesy of a generous trader. Poured into a Hill Farmstead wine glass.

Body is a moderate amber with a bit of haze. There is a huge off white head with a strong amount of lacing. The nose is a bit off with some cardboard and odd fruit plus a bit of bread and toast. The flavor goes far downhill with a bitter metallic bite and some cardboard. Weird tannic character as well. Mild bread, but that's about all that is there that should be there. Feel is a bit thin and metallic. Not a fan of this one at all.

A: Deep amber, reddish even, with coppery edges. Decent head with okay stick and stay and lacing. Quite hazy even with a careful pour.

S: Sweet caramel malts. Fruity with a sour/tart edge. Faint grassy hops in background. A touch restrained. And while it is interesting enough, it is not what I was expecting.

T: Definite sour/tart note. I get the feeling it wasn't supposed to be there. Underlying the twang are malty caramel notes and a general grainy sweetness - a sort of rounded multi-grain caramel sweetness. There are some fruity esters and a bit of toasty grain in the background. Hops are floral and vaguely citrus. Not bad flavor at all, but not really to style due to what seems like a flaw.

M: Medium light body with medium, yet lively, carbonation. Drying finish is accentuated strongly by the odd tart / sour note.

D: Not bad and okay drinkable overall, but I have to think the tart / sour thing is a ding on this beer. Or at least the 6-pack of it that I picked got. I would like to sample it as an amber and not some sort of weak & mild Flanders.

A: Pours a hazy amber color, with a small head and no lacing.

S: Has a citrus and grain aroma with a trace of malt.

T: Light citrus and malt taste with a mild bitter finish. Has a slight metallic aftertaste.

F: Medium body, quite smooth and very little carbonation.

D: Non-offensive amber ale. The label seems to present a depressing image/feeling. Beer came as part of a Choc 6-pack mixer.
