I live in Wallingford, but will still drive the 20 miles to the Newington Connecticut Beverage Mart just because of the selection. The service is good as they are a pretty friendly staff, but unless there is a beer emergency, I really don't see myself going here. The selection is pretty mediocre. They have the normal macro products, but the craft and imports are pretty light. They do, however, carry a good variety of Samuel Smith's and Youngs' brews, so that's at least a plus. All in all, it's not a horrible store, but nothing that I'd really frequent.

Of all locations, this is the black sheep of the family. I happened upon this place when I couldn't find a local lumber yard for a home improvement project which served as an excuse for stopping by Delaney's later. The store is the smallest of all the CBM locations and the beer selection was woeful. Either Wallingford despises beer or they refuse to drink anything but the macros. A few bottles of Belgian and micros on the shelves. Certainly an unimpressive selection. This place, unlike it's bretheren, is your typical package store that displays no interest in educating the public of the finer things in beer. I gave them a "good" for service because the women behind the counter went above and beyond by pulling out the phone book and helping me with directions to the lumber yard. Avoid this place unless you're looking for the standard drool.

Stopped by on my way back from the shore one day, and had above average hopes based on other three stores in the chain. Sadly I found this location to be the worst of the four.

Beer is along the right hand wall as you enter. A fairly small selection of single bottles are on shelves in front of the coolers. There are a few stacks of cases in the area as well. Some summer mixed packs still sitting in the cooler in January.

No staff offering any sort of help. Counter staff was frinedly, but was unable to provide any real help to my questions. The biggest area of concern I had was an overall sense of uncleanliness. The floors and shelves had a gritty sense.

I was sadly disappointed in this location. I would recommend staying away from this place in favor of other stores in the area.

I have to say that I have a different opinion of this location then other reviews indicate. I stop here fairly often since it's on the way to friends, and can always get my hands on good micros. Perhaps nothing out of the ordinary, but you will easily find Magic Hats, Brooklyns, Olde Burnside, and a whole host of others. They always have seasonals and one-offs, and there is whole separate section of imports where I have been able to pick up selections from all over the world that I'd never seen before. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.
