16 oz can

Pours hazy golden orange, white head is finely textured and retains indefinitely.

Smells of fresh citrus and tropical juice, herbal and floral notes, and zesty hops.

Tests of bright, fresh citrus juice with some pineapple and mango. Fresh zesty, citrusy and herbal hops. Floral finish with some sourdough bread malt.

Medium to full body, tingly carbonation.

Excellent NEIPA, lots of great flavor and aroma with a beautiful pour. One of their best and I'll come back to this one.

Thanks to JLindros for hooking me up with a can.

A - Poured into my Duvel tulip a nice hazy milky golden orange hue with a nice two finger white head that fades to leave a very thin, light blanket. Not much lacing.

S - Aromas of light bitterness, some earthy notes, big wave of booze though. Some very light peach notes, maybe a flash of tropical. The alcohol overwhelms the aroma though.

T - Taste is similar to the nose. Nice citrus peel, valencia oranges, juicy notes, super faint tropical notes, very light juicy peach flavour as well. Finish is super light on the bitterness. Thankfully the alcohol notes are incredibly subdued.

M - Mouthfeel is very nicely carbonated, medium body. Really, really solid.

O - Overall this beer had a great mouthfeel and solid taste. The biggest knock is how harsh and boozy the nose was. Perhaps this was an older can and that's why. Either way, this is a beer I would like to revisit.

Thanks to roguekielbasa (Reddit)

Pours a decent fluffy fizzy 1/2 finger head that fades semi quickly, a bit of lacing, very murky tan orange color

Nose explodes with hops, citrus juice, orange juice, creamy wheat and pulp, lots of tropical generic notes but also some pineapple and papaya, a little dankness and pine sap as well, nice peachy stone fruit, tons of fresh peach actually, hint of alcohol

Taste brings a mild sweet malt, creamy wheat and oat combination, mild grainy notes, creamy lush oats, some mild alcohol flavors, and touch of perhaps peppery phenol alcohol thing, again juice bomb of hops, orange juice, nectarine, peach, peaches and cream, a little bitter rind and some earthy pine, dankness, mild tropical notes, papaya, I want to say guava but not quite, soft creamy as well, with a drier finish, bit more alcohol, fair bitterness, lingering rind, a touch of pine, and juicy creamy citrus

Mouth is med bod, very soft and fair creamy, lush and actually almost chewy, with a nice fluffy carbonation, it just sits all around the tongue and dances, a touch of alcohol but more taste than actual tingle or warmth.

Overall an interesting beer, nice characters, some OK ones but not the best ones, but a nice blend and presentation of everything, very enjoyable.

16oz pounder can poured into a Better 1 or 2 stem glass:

Look: Pours an amazing hazy golden yellow color with about an inch of head! Lacing is present with great retention!

Smell: Tropical citrus juice bomb! Also minor notes of pine on this!

Taste: Taste follows the nose for me on this! Nice soft mouthfeel with a small amount of bitterness to balance it out!

Feel: Medium bodied with an awesome soft pillowy mouthfeel!

Overall: Awesome DIPA from Dancing Gnome! Glad I scored a case of this on their can release as I missed all the other releases of this one!

A pounder can into a snifter appears clouded yellow with white froth.

The aroma has a fresh and inviting almost minty herbal hop accent before a touch of pine, fruit and alcohol tingle.

The taste is hop forward with flavor instead of bitterness, some grain, yeastiness and grass with a solvent alcohol feel.

This is medium in body with modest carbonation. The nose is nice, taste does not follow through.

Juice bomb!
Dark,murky,sweet,tropical fruit.
Nice heavy mouthful.
Alcohol is warming.

Some bitternes.

Edit: 2nd can

First of night, can smell hops much better. Taste really comes through. A really fantastic DIPA. The flavor is complex as it changes from the front through the finish.

This is a world class beer. I am so proud of Pittsburgh, my hometown, for having so many amazing breweries. This beer though, from all of the DIPA/IPAs I have had the privilege of trying, is the best. It is super smooth. It has the fruity hop profile of pineapple and mango. It is fantastic!

750ml swing top growler bottled on 1/29

A: Very little head looks like it has lost its carbonation. Body is a hazy pale orange.

S: Mangoes, peaches, papaya, cantaloupe, light bits of grass and honey.

T: Huge sweet papaya, mango, peaches, honey, cantaloupe, very low bitterness. Light smooth sweet crackery finish.

M: Medium bodied very juicy and medium carbonation.

O: This beer is a srraight up juice bomb so full of fruit and sweet honey flavors. It is a spectacular DIPA that drinks like there is no alcohol.

750ml growler, freshly filled, poured into a 14oz snifter glass. Enjoyed on 12.19.16, reviewed from Tasting Journal.

The beer pours a very hazy and turbid golden color, orange and peach hues, with a foamy finger of white head, about a finger and a half tall, great retention and lace. The aroma is great, really juicy and citrusy, plenty of orange and juicy tangerine with some bitter citrus rind, lots of pineapple and mango tropical fruit, sweet yeast and cereal grains linger. The nose is crazy juicy and expressive. The flavors leap out of the glass, tons and tons of hops, juicy citrus and tropical fruits, really ripe and fleshy fruit, bitter of the the rinds and piths comes out, wildflower and sweet yeast and pale grains sit underneath, but this is really all about the hops. The mouthfeel is good, creamy and coats well, lively medium body that has a dry finish.

Verdict: A very delicious NE IPA from Dancing Gnome. This is my first experience with them and it was not a disappointment. Tons of flavor, really hoppy and juicy, tame bitterness, but thankfully, not overly sweet and not over hopped. Easily up there with any of the big names from the region.
