Can: Poured a cloudy brown color Dunkel with a large light brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of caramelized malt with light biscuit notes. Taste is a mix caramelized malt with some biscuit notes with some heavy bready yeast notes. Body is full with great carbonation. Not a style I am very accustomed to but this example was well brewed and quite enjoyable.

A:
Pours a hazy root beer brown that is extremely carbonated, lets very little light through. It takes a while for the billowing tan head to settle enough to pour it all in the glass. Intense retention; doily-like lacing. (3.75)

S:
Toasty malts and a mineral bite. (3.25)

T:
Nutty and toasty with a crusty malt character, some slight hop presence and a little astringency. (3.25)

M:
Thin with pop-like carbonation, lingering tinge of bitterness, not much body (though the potential seems to be there in the flavor). (3.25)

O:
This is an all right beer.
It is nowhere near great, but it is fairly good tasting and is not infected or anything extreme. First of all, I assume they're still getting their canning machine tweaked as there was beer kind of oozing out of the rim. The beer itself is way over carbonated, but otherwise not weird. Lots toast, hard water and a pinch of herbs. It is way to thin and it could be better. I do feel like the potential is here to be a fine beer but it will just take a little work.
Hope to see more from these guys! (3)
