Been here a lot and it never lets me down. This is my favorite McMenamins in Seattle.A nice corner pub and parking is on the street, by meter mostly. The decor is AWESOME. That is what I loved about it. The place is not that big but it made up for it with decor. Interesting art made of steel pipes around the bar and hanging from the ceiling. The Six Arms always had more beer than their own and I liked that. Always seemed to have the larger selection of McMenamins brew, including an awesome barleywine that I only got my hands on once. Humus was good,

Two words: Horrible service

I was served by someone named Jackie and had the worst service possible. I complained to the manager, Leslie, who escalated the entire situation and was yelling at her employees.

When i was in the bathroom I overheard some emoloyees talking about how the manager has been committing numerous labor law violations. My server told me they were scheduled only 2 days in advance. Well below the 2 week minimum required by Seattle's Secure Scheduling Ordinance.

0/10 wouldn't go again. If i wanted to get screamed at least do it for free

I walked up to the Six Arms after work the other day to check it out. I've been to the McMenamin's near my house a million times, and like it well enough, so I was glad to learn that the Six Arms is substantially like it in general atmosphere. It has definitely got a local-pub feel with plenty of regulars, a friendly staff and decent pub fare. The décor is a little bizarre, but I like it: a big copper bar, lots of abstract sculpture made from plumbing parts, a second-floor balcony above the bar. Quirky, in a word.

There were about 8 beers on tap when I was there. McMenamins beer is generally decent, if rarely outstanding, but it is house-made and usually fills the bill nicely. I could see the Six Arms being a good hangout, if not a massive beer destination.

Server was super helpful and kind, she explained the different beer they carried (it was our first time in a McMenamins), and even gave me some bitchin' stickers. 3rd stop on my 14th anniversary pub crawl with my lady, great place to take a break, meaning, the beers were not too strong or great. Just good. Food was above average for a pub like this, though I wish they had healthier options, many places in Seattle need to catch on to that one though. Great location, historic building, vintage posters...cool back room near restrooms. Will visit the QA location next time in the area just to compare. **Added after reading other reviewers--Noticed no BMC's.

Stopped in here on a recent short trip to Seattle -- out of Lonely Planet's brewpub reviews, this one seemed to have the best that I could tell.

Easy enough to find, parking was decent for a Sunday evening, & it wasn't really crowded at all. The atmosphere was cool, some interesting pipe sculpture & other neat visuals on the walls, liked the various chandeliers. I had no idea it was part of a chain, & it did kind of have that feel like they have their "vibe" down a little *too* well, but it didn't really bother me.

Our server was very friendly, stood & talked to us about the beer & our travels, & was helpful with recommendations. I think the fact that it wasn't too crowded & there were only a few wait staff gave him the leisure of chatting with some other customers, too, which seemed to make folks feel at home.

The beer selection wasn't huge, & what they offered was pretty standard -- their own raspberry ale, pale ale, IPA, porter, stout, & the rotating tap, a copper ale -- but some quality stuff. The IPA was flavorful & fairly restrained, & the porter was pretty awesome, with rich coffee & chocolate (I ordered a pint for myself later). Surprised to see Bud Light & PBR along with a few craft guest taps, but whatever.

Fairly standard pub grub at reasonable prices. They make their own garden burgers with the house pale ale, which sounded interesting (though I opted for the fish).

I can't say I'd rush back to Six Arms -- if given the opportunity to get to Seattle again, I'm sure there are lots of other places I'd be up for trying -- but I can't say I'd turn it down, either. The beer was quality, though the variety was a little lacking. Loved that porter, though.

Six Arms is a nice place to visit when you're in the mood for some decent beer and some decent pub food.

Their selection of beers consists mainly of beers that they brew in Seattle (Fremont I believe). Styles include one each of the following: stout, porter, wheat, raspberry wheat, IPA and brown ale. They do often times have guest taps, which can include a variety of styles, so keep your eyes open.

The atmosphere of this place is very unique. As it is mentioned in previous reviews, it's a mix of antiquity and plumbing. The upstairs seating is very nice if you're looking for a more intimate and quiet feel.

There are also several flat screens downstairs that usually carry whatever sporting event is in demand at the time.

The bar staff is usually pretty friendly.

I encourage people to check this place out if they're in the neighborhood.

I stopped in while in Seattle on business. I've been to several McMenamins in Portland and while the beer is fairly ordinary, the atmosphere is always unique.

And the Six Arms is no different. The interior is very interesting. They've got a nice corner spot with plenty of windows and an eclectic and antique decor. They make great use of old plumbing materials for a divider between the bar and table area. The old cast iron tables have a lot of character and there's a neat second floor seating area. There's plenty to look at while you enjoy the beer.

They had quite a few of their own beers on tap along with several macros. I went with the IPA and it was good but not outstanding. The bartenders were helpful and outgoing but not especially memorable.

The Six Arms is a unique place and worth a visit if you're in the area.

We visited this location several days after visiting the Queen Anne site. They couldn't be more opposite! I was old that this neighborhood was "bohemian" and we found this venue to match that perfectly. As I said before, I like quirky joints and this was one. Lots of pipes leading to nowhere and for no apparent reason, wound their way around the bar and currencies of all kinds stapled to the bar overhang...fun to look at! I gather the six arms comes from the figure of Kali(?) on the wall overlooking the dining area. There is also an area upstairs though we didn't go up.

The beers were good and they had a nice selection of guest beers that rounded out the choices. The bartender was friendly and attentive.

All we had here was dessert, so I can't rate the food.

Definitely an interesting place and would be very comfortable there if I were a local.

The decor in this place is great. Very creative, it really adds to the atmosphere. Strange copper pipe designs and a six armed statue of a women looks like maybe art from indo china or india?

Large bar area surrounded by booths lined along the windows provide for a great view of the street. Exotic chandeliers are hanging everywhere. We sat in the dimly lit upstairs section.

The beer was solid. Nothing that I really loved but nothing really disappointed me. They did have a very mild and drinkable bock which I enjoyed. The service was pretty good considering the server was under the influence of the herb. Quite entertaining.

Food was very good, which seems to be the case at the most of the McMenamins joints. Definitely worth stopping in.

This is what you think of what a classic local city pub should be - an old historic building that is kind of dirty (in a good way) and being served by local young 20 somethings with tats and wearing t-shirts. Large glass windows overlooking the street provide plenty of light during the day and people watching.

I sat at the copper top bar, and was promptly greeted. Looking around there was an upstairs seating area that overlooked the first floor. The bar area had foreign money stapled to the walls. The taps were unassuming behind the bar and the beer labels looked like they were printed on a laser jet in the office. There was a good crowd for a late afternoon happy hour time.

There were a bunch of beers on tap here. Terminator Stout, Ruby Red, IPA, Wheat, Porter, ESB, Kolsch, Gold, and Pale Ale. There was a Big Sky guest tap too. I had a few hours to kill, so I was lucky enought to enjoy a few pints and have some wings. The beers were quite tasty and well made. The wings were so-so in my book.

This place was a short 15 minute walk from the downtown area on Pike. Defintely worth a stop if in town for a few days like I was.

The atmosphere was very casual and friendly. The first night I went there, the place was completely wiped out from a concert crowed the had passed through that evening. Most food options were out and a few beers were out for the night. I had the hummus plate and a few of the IPAs. Very familiar West Coast style IPA. Good, not great. The hummus WAS great and hit the spot.

The next day I had the Terminator stout and a the Spicy tofu burrito. Once again, the stout was ok, not special, and the food was the highlight of the evening. I switched gears to Hale's Wee Bit Heavy, which was on the rotating tap. The wait staff were very friendly, and a few were very familiar with beer. The second day there they were able to provide the service that lacked the night before.

Overall, the vegan food was awesome. Tofu Burrito, Hummus plate, and Black Bean burrito were all winners. The beer was ok but not interesting. Here is the actual link http://www.mcmenamins.com/index.php?loc=50

This was a short cab ride from the business district.

It has a long L-shaped copper topped bar. It is two stories with balcony overlooking the bar area.

Spirited and crowded for a Monday evening. This place has a unique & fun atmosphere. For some reason it reminds me of a 1970's type bar, I can't put my finger on it, but something is retro about this place.

They offer a nice selection of about 8 house beers. Also offer guest taps and bottles/cans (anyone for an Oly or Rainer?). Everything I had was tasty!

They have a friendly staff that was quick and efficient. They were very quick to hand out samples.

I did not eat on this visit but will on my next. Check this joint out!

Six Arms is a literal corner bar, almost walked by it in the twilight. Old brick building, cramped bar with a rail to separate the restaurant tables. Lots of signs around about keeping minors out of the bar, which were at every bar, so must be a Washington thing. The place was decorated for Haolloween--blinking green-chested skeletons over the bar, webs on the TVs. We had the tater tots with ranch dressing--really good bar food. Had them Cajun at a later McMenamins, and even better. Not a bad stop if you're in the area (like at Elysian down the street), but I wouldn't go out of my way for this place alone. Standard bar, nice atmosphere, ok beer and decent food. Fun stop.

Dimly lit. Bar and large wooden booths with some 2-tops downstairs. Some additional seating in a loft-like above the bar, upstairs. Interestingly decorated with plumbing - pipes, valves, pressure gauges, spigots all connected together in random configurations, around the bar, and up toward the ceiling. Seemed like Tim Burton-esque or something (I know there's a better way to describe this but I can't think of the word right now). There were 9 house brews and 6 guest brews on tap. I had a terrific burger. Staff was quite friendly, quick, and attentive. I'll be back next time I'm in town.

Bourbon Street. Definitely Bourbon Street. This place on the edge of the center of Seattle sits on a corner and takes full advantage of it with two-storey plate glass windows on two sides. Inside, all is brass and metal, including a balcony overlooking the main floor. Seats about 100. A bit on the dark side at night, the place is at once industrial and cozy. It was also packed on a Saturday night.

Six (or was it eight?) of their own beers on tap, served well and quite tasty. No lagers, but a range of ales from Hefeweizen to stout. The service was spotty, but given the crowds, that is understandable. We weren't the only ones having a good time.
