Presentation: 16 oz. can with no dates. Served in a pint glass.

Appearance: The tan, half finger head goes away fairly quickly and leaves behind a thin foam ring and some patchy lacing. It's a very dark, oily brown color.

Smell: It's a sweet aroma of fresh, green coffee beans and caramel. There are some bready notes of salted pretzels and grains as well.

Taste: There's a lot of different flavors and they meld together beautifully. It starts with some sweet caramel and milk chocolate, then moves towards the pretzel taste but there's no saltiness to speak of really, which is fine. It finishes with slightly bitter dark chocolate, black coffee and roasted malt notes.

Mouthfeel: It's smooth and creamy but not overly heavy or cloying. Carbonation is medium-low and it's very easy to drink.

Overall: It's a very flavorful beer with a lot of complexity on the palate and a great, silky texture that stays easy to drink and never gets cloying despite the prevailing sweetness.
