A pint can and an easy pour yields a finger of off-white creamy and rocky froth, average retention with sliding spots of lace. Cloudy gold-straw color, bright yellow gold in sunlight. Moderate smell of bread dough and toasted English muffins, citrus and piney hops. Semi-sweet, above average bitterness, items of the smell blend with citrus rinds and juice (grapefruit+orange) leading the way with toasted malt right behind plus light melon and spiced apple. Semi-dry with bold bitterness at the clean finish, a light piney hop aftertaste lingers. Medium body, average CO2, easy drink thanks to the well hidden alcohol.

Can from Colonial Spirits.
Deep golden color with a good sized off white head that persists. Caramel and toffee on the nose with bits of citrus and pine to counter. Rough bitter butterscotch flavor with bits of caramel and earthy resinous pine and citrus. Medium body, moderate carbonation with a slick mouthfeel. Not horrible, but the diacetyl ruins it for me.

Found this at the Craft Beer Cellar and tried it. It's a fine Pale Ale but nothing to write home about, the after taste wasn't particularly great. Lacks some of the flavor needed to make it memorable.

Pineapple, Skittles, and papaya. Pine bitterness. Dry, clean, malty finish. Not bad. Wish it had a touch more flavor. Really solid effort. Think a little bit more malty version of 2 Hearted.

Thanks for the gift Kevin!
A- Tallboy into a snifter-tulip glass with a ever so slightly hazy deep copper gold body and a tall white cap. The head ascends to about two fingers high with good retention and a thick creamy consistency. Plentiful webs of lace form around the glass.
S- Somewhat subtle or tame with medium toasted malts and hops in harmony. Light citrus, pine and herbal hops with a bit of kilned malts as well as bread. Lemons specifically come to mind.
T- Seems to lose a bit of its vibrancy here. The malts come off as a bit too much like cereal and bread and the hops get taken down a notch because of that. The hops are more subtle but lemon citrus, herbal, spicy and floral character is there. With time some strong apple and pale fruit yeast esters come to life.
MF- Silky and light-medium bodied overall. The texture strays towards creamy and frothy but never quite reaches that coming off a bit thin. Moderate level of carbonation and a smooth bitterness in the finish.
A pretty standard Pale Ale with a basal level of toasted grains and floral, herbal and citrus hops but nothing overly exciting from either ingredient. Feels a bit muddled as the bold grains start to drown out the hops in the taste.

Clear enough to read through the center of the glass. The color is gold to dirty gold. Small head even with a violent pour. It settles to rim bubbles and leaves only a single ring of lace on the initial sip.
Light on the malt but the hop is floral with a bit of a pine scent. Good initial smell but fainter on subsequent sniffs.
Relatively thin with an elevated carbonation level. In the taste, I find the hop flavor dominant, more black pepper-like, and harsher than the smell. The malt base is brief and completely disappears in the swallow. Long, one-dimensional bitter aftertaste.

Pours a clear, pale golden orange in color with a finger of white head, good retention and decent lacing. Aroma is on the muted side but i do get some lemony notes. Taste is relatively balanced, I get a bit of maltiness upfront followed by some lemony-citrus hops and a bit of balancing bitterness and a touch of alcohol in the finish. A solid pale ale, this might be more of a food beer for me as it didn't do much to impress me in terms of flavor or aroma.

This Pale Ale is both nuanced and drinkable. The hop aromas are noticeable but subtle upon opening the can. This beer toes the line where hop heads should appreciate it but non-IPA drinkers will still enjoy it. Should pair well with a variety of foods. Very well balanced!
