I dont know what these other reviewers saw but my experience was considerably different. The product availibility (grain & extract) was OK at best. Hardware products seemed to assume all clients brewed in their kitchen & only needed the basics. The prices were not competitive. They were indicative of a business with no competition locally. The assistance offered didn't exist & the older "gentleman?" was even rude @ times. He acted like he was being bothered. This review is based upon several visits & not just one. I spent several hundred dollars & would have spent more had the experience been pleasant. I will go elsewhere when possible because I live here.

The Home Brewery is the only homebrew shop in Fayetteville and it fills its niche very well. They have winemaking products, but I have only purchased homebrewing products so that is what this review addresses.

Quality: All of the products I've purchased from THB have been great. It is really nice to find high quality ingredients locally rather than online.

Service: The guys that work there are very knowledgeable and all have a lot of experience in brewing. They will gladly help you with anything you need and won't hesitate to offer their opinions. I've even called them with specific questions during the brewing process which they knew the answers to from experience. Unfortunately, THB's hours aren't so good. I'm in school or at work most of the day and sometimes it's hard to make it over there before they close at 4 during the week.

Selection: They have most of what you will need for brewing beer including equipment, ingredients, and reference materials. They have a great selection of 5 gallon batch beer kits which range from a traditional hefeweizen to barley wine. If you're not using one of the ingredient kits, they have a decent selection of grains, extracts, hops, yeasts, flavoring agents, etc.

Overall THB is great for novice and experienced brewers alike and will most likely have everything you need.

Went in there for the first time just to pick up some simple bottling stuff; caps, hand-capper, and some corn sugar (dextrose).

Great service, very friendly. Hah, they made my girlfriend take all the freebie pens that were pink... said they had a hard time getting rid of 'em apparently.

Next time I upgrade my brewing equipment i'm gonna go through them instead of online places, as I love supporting local shops!

One con about the place is that when more than 2 or 3 shoppers in there it can get cramped due to their lack of space. Not a big deal, but maybe as the homebrew scene in NWA gets bigger they can expand!

I love this store. I live right by it so it is convineinet and they always have what I need to get my brews going that day. If you are in the area I highly recommend it. They are always getting in fresh stuff and if you are a member of the hombrew club FLOPS you will get 5% off of your purchase. These guys are great. They even have a great website. They also know what they are doing so if you are tying to put a recipe together they can help you. Thier hours aren't so great so if you work the only time you can get in there is at lunch or on Saturday.

A great place to do business. Helpful smiling people, all the brew stuff you'd need and all the patience in the world. I have done both mail order and in-store shopping with them and had positive expereinces both times. I have never gotten any old or stale ingredients there and the prices are about as low as they get.
