Dark red/orange look with an imense longlasting head, lots of sediments on the bottom.
Chocolate, coffee, wodden smell.
Sweet-sour, astringent, red wine first taste, with fermented fruits and beetroot funky notes. Creamy chocolate body. Then the dark chocolate steps in, leaving its mark along the vanilla woody notes and the bitter dry persistent aftertaste.
A caroussel of aromas and sensations all allong.
A must-try!

Pours a pitch-black coloration with a small, frothy, reddish head. Smells of slightly roasted, caramel malt and notes of milk chocolate and lighter coffee and licorice, with just the merest hint of beetroot coming through as well. Taste follows the nose, with a decent balance of slightly roasted, caramel malt, distinct milk chocolate and lighter coffee and licore notes, as well as the merest hint of beetroot. Finishes with a medium bitterness and some chocolate and coffee lingering in the aftertaste. Full, creamy mouthfeel with a rich body and light carbonation.

I never would have bought this if I had actually read the label properly and noticed that it contains beetroot, because I cannot stand beetroot. So yeah, call me biased, but this beer is not for me. I will say that the beetroot actually doesn't come through all that much, but it still taints the beer despite a rather nice milk chocolate presence being more at the forefront here and a decent balance of sweet and roasted/bitter notes, which is still too sweet for my personal taste, as seems to be typical of Pühaste stouts, just like the excellent mouthfeel though.
