Miguel brought it to me from Iceland. In Teku glass. At dinner, with bratwurst sausages. Very correct. Pleasant and easy drinking, with nothing out of place. Better than our industrial lagers

A- Perfectly clear golden yellow body into a becher with a one finger foamy white cap. Decent retention and thickness leading to spotty lace.

S- Pretty much just pale cereal grains, a touch of pale fruits and some lager funky yeast.

T- Follows the nose with a very light flavor profile that at least feels whole and lacks any obvious corn sweets. Pale fruits, crackery bready light grains, lager yeasty spice and medium sweetness.

MF- Very light bodied with a touch of foamy and crispy texture. Moderately high carbonation.

A light easy drinker with nothing great and nothing awful about it.

Pouts a clear yellow colour. Smells faintly of pale malts and pilsner yeast, and not much else. Dry malt taste with a slight bitterness and a dry finish. Crisp, refreshing, but not much to it.

Poured from can into a Viking horn shaped glass at Hooleys Guangzhou China. A nice premium lager, with malty taste, decent amount of hops and a bit sweet in taste. Good head. Very nice beer and goes down smooth for a 5.6% ABV.

Purchased in a 330 ml bottle in Vinbudin Reykjavik. Poured into a red wine glass. No head, pale yellow. Not a very string smell, but slightly toasty. Almost feels like a beer you could quench your thirst with. Fresh and crisp; not too strong in any direction. "If I was a viking, I would chug it when I was thirsty with no problem," - me alewifie. Quite an uncontroversial character, which fits the style.

500mL can (canned 2/6/2013) into an English pint glass. Pours a clear golden color w/ a fluffy white head that leaves behind some lace. Moderate carbonation.

Aroma is grainy and mildly floral.

Taste follows nose. Pale malt, floral Old World hops, neutral yeast. Just a hint of bitterness on the finish. Boring but inoffensive.

Mouthfeel is clean and crisp, light and drinkable.

Overall an unremarkable beer you don't have to think about. A few of these would pair well with a few slices of hangikjöt or a tasty loaf of laufabrauð while soaking in a geothermal hot spring.
