Aroma is adjuncty with a sweaty corn/grain aroma that truly offends. Yellow/Gold body with a wispy white head. Sweet adjunct dominated fore. Mild honey notes, corn, sugar and starch...phbbbt. It's very much in the vein of every underfunded lager brewery that whips out a Bud or Becks clone only it's not nearly as well brewed (manufactured) as Becks or Bud.

Pours a light straw color with about 1cm of chunky white head that fades slowly and laces the glass. Smells faintly of noble hops and yeast. Tastes very clean, not much in the way of sweetness or bitterness. The taste and mouthfeel are very watery, nothing interesting. Overall, it's highly drinkable, mostly because there's no taste to get in the way.

500ml Can

Appearance – Clear yellow colour with a below average size fizzy white coloured head. There is a high amount of carbonation showing and there is a fair amount of lacing. The head lasted for around 2 minutes before it was gone.

Smell - Grains, bread, malts, grass, hops

Taste & Mouth - The beer has a high amount of carbonation. I can taste breads/grains mixed with light hops and some corn. I can also pick up on some malts and a slight grassiness. It finishes with a spicy and bready aftertaste.

Overall – The taste was fairly well balanced and it is the best of the Viking beers that I have had so far. The carbonation level might be a little too high, but other than that it has a nice refreshing taste and feel.

A- Crystal clear golden yellow body to a pint glass with a thick frothy white cap. Good head retention and lacing is spotty.

S- Pale cereal grains for the most part with some big lager funk, lemon zest and pale fruits.

T- Again mostly the pale cereal grains and some bread. Pale fruits like apple and white grapes. Lemon zest again even a bit tart all leading into lager funk.

MF- Very light and thinned out body with high end carbonation. Texture is just a bit foamy and frothy.

A decent lager. Drinkable but some lager funk comes out as well as a random lemon tarts.

500mL can (canned 2/14/2013) into an English pint glass. Pours a clear golden color w/ a fluffy bright white head that leaves behind some lace. Moderate carbonation.

Aroma is grainy and mildly floral with a hint of ripe banana.

Taste follows nose. Pale slightly fruity malt, floral Old World hops, neutral yeast. Just a hint of bitterness on the finish.

Mouthfeel is clean and crisp, light and drinkable. Pretty watery.

Overall an unremarkable beer you don't have to think about.

Poured form the tap into a branded pint glass in Reykjavik, Iceland.

A: Pure gold with a bit of carbonation showing through. Head was nearly nonexistant. What was there was pure white with little retention. May have been due to the bartender.

S: Pure grain. Nothing else. Slightly sour though. Like sticking your nose in a barrel full of grain.

T: One of the "beeriest" beers I have ever had. A lot of rough grain. No nonsense and no real other taste in there. Maybe some corn sweetness. Finishes coarse with a twinge of balancing bitterness.

M: Rough and finishing a bit watery.

Very expensive for what it is, but that's just how beer is in Reykjavik. All else out of the picture it's a solid pale lager. However, with the price factored into the equation, it's a horrible investment if you're in Iceland. Go with liquor, which is cheaper and better here.
