Notes: mc² is Photon’s big brother. We literally took Photon’s hopping rate and squared it. This DIPA is our tribute to the amazing relationship that energy and mass are balanced, proportional to the speed of a photon squared. It pours a hazy tangerine color, releasing bright tropical notes of mango, pineapple, and apricot. mc² tastes like succulent mango juice loaded with chewy hop resins. It’s very drinkable for 8.0%; be careful, this one can sneak up on you.

Pours a hazy pale orange color with a nice rocking thumb sized cream head that falls of so slow and laces well.

Aroma is citrus and tropical fruits mango, apricot , hints of pineapple sweet light bready notes from the malt.

Taste is great fruity sweetness tropical dominating with citrus underneath that brings a good dose of dank to the fruitiness. Stars smooth and sweet, great full bodied almost but finishes with a medium dose of hop resin that reminds you your drinking an IPA, something some fruity IPA's tend to forget.

Mouthfeel is approaching full, nice creamy body smooth carbonation makes it even smother and fuller feeling.

Overall not sure if I am just in the mood for this one today or it really is fantastic.

ok, decent but i don't see a 96 around date on the can (what's up with that) but pretty sure it came in recently so assume it's fresh-ish.
L: drinking from the can and the can makes physics look cool
S: very nice. lots of citrus, bit of dankness
T: pretty tasty although not killing me. still, darn good.
F: smooth. light carbonation
O: good stuff - worth seeking out

16oz can canned 11/14/22 into a pint glass.
L: Pours a thick & hazy apricot w bright edges, a 1.25" off white head w VG retention, low carbo, a few large sediment chunks, good webbed lacing w rhythmic banding.
S: Melon, citrus, a hint of caramel malts, rich fruits, apricot, mango, dirty pineapple, light cheesy dankness, light alcohol w warming.
T: Rich tropical fruits essentially following aroma notes, a hint of white bread, lightly tart & sweet, slightly dirty, low bitterness, very little linger or aftertaste.
F: Gently crisp then smooths out to a slightly juicy med-body w a semi-plush middle and a med-long finish that is slightly drying and is a bit chewy. Feel softens over time.
O: A fairly full-flavored DIPA that is hazy (not indicated), lightly sweet and fairly EZ drinking for its ABV. It appears that it has been slightly over rated as I personally find nothing remarkable about it. NTL it is very good in its style.

Hoppy Hanukkah 2022 box set night 7!

Pours hazy golden with huge billowy white foamy cap from tall can to pint. Head slowly recedes to sides of glass. Some flecks of white sediment settles to the bottom.

“This massive double IPA is a perfect balance of chewy body and a ridiculous hop profile that emits bright flavors of mango juice, pineapple and apricot.”

The pour was from a pint can into a clear glass Imperial pint mug and it wasn't pretty. An overabundance of stark white foam prevented a total emptying in one try. The liquid that fit was a dull dirty blond shade of amber, only darker. As usual, the foam receded unevenly and unattractively. The aroma is a better characteristic carrying hops reminiscent of sharp pine. There's some starch in there, too, likely oats. The taste is softer than the sharp pine in the aroma, but it's not bad. It also feels like oats are contributing here, as it's nicely bodied and moderately sweet in breakfast cereal way. This goes down so easily, especially for its ABV, the lack of a hoppy bite promised by the nose is quickly overlooked. The bottom line is this is wonderfully balanced between hops, starches and alcohol. This is one of those brews that a little taste of alcohol augments the drinking experience. As expected, the glass lacing is irregular and somewhat sparse, which is surprising considering how good its body is. This would be a worthy competitor in a side by side taste test among the leaders in the NEIPA category. One to get whenever it's available.

Have had it from a growler and cans varying in age.

Its a good beer but I have noticed the batches are inconsistent. Id rate it higher if it was more consistent. You can get batches that aren't so good, mediocre and batches that taste how it should. You never know what you'll get untill you try it. Hard to do for the amount of $. I prefer their Collab beers. Seems more attention is put into those beers imo.

That's my 2 cents on mc².

The pour is a hazy golden yellow. The taste is apricot, peach, papaya, orange, & guava. I like that it's not as medicinal tasting as other New England Style IPA's that I've had, this is a well balanced beer. Cheers! A-

Pint can, ice cold.
Poured gold & orange with proud head.
Aroma is mango, citrus, pine.
Taste - Absolutely delicious! Beautiful balance of sweet, bitter and a bit of a malt back. As the description says, “energy and mass are balanced, proportional to the speed of a photon squared”.
Feel is moderate carbonation, a bit of welcomed tongue-coating oil.
Overall, Equilibrium has their IPA game on point and this is a really well composed example. Killer.,.

Chewy full feel with carbonation. Hop bitterness.

Copper colored with a hazy complexion. There’s an inch of frothy, densely packed, and tightly knit off white head on top. Heavy, soapy lacing is present. The aroma is green veggies and lime. I’m tasting green veggies and lemon lime hops. The mouth is light and smooth.

very good, one of the more popular beers and its easy to see why. i love the softness of the grain base, i love the full flavored hop profile and lack of bitterness, but most of all i love that these guys are selling beer in idaho now, really been fun to get to drink through more of their stuff! pretty dense looking this one, whitewashed and starchy, frothy even creamy white headed with nice retention and lace, must be some oats in here. the aroma is white grape, tangerine, and fresh herbs, bee balm or something, delicate for a double ipa, no greenness or bite here at all, and very little from the yeast, a certain purity to it thats kind of striking for how murky it is. the flavor is nice, clementine and summery white wine, lemongrass, green tea, and elderflower, delicate and springy for what it is, no sign of its strength at all, and just a light cereal base, totally dry, not really grainy at all despite the appearance. thick but light at the same time, its like aerated or something, really gentle feeling and approachable, no bitterness or hop burn to close, despite the fact that this a very hoppy obviously. very tasty, very well made, cool to get to drink it on tap. loving their beers right now!

Canned 3/16/22 (2.5 months of age):

Appearance: Pours a half-hearted hazy (50% clarity), bright, medium orange color with a massive lacy white head that lingers. (4.25)

Aroma: Strong aromas of peach& mango. Then apricot with some pineapple underneath. More mango as it warms. (4.50)

Flavor: Huge flavors of mango, tropical orange & peach, some pineapple. More tropical mango on the finish. (4.50)

Feel: Heavier-bodied. Strong carbonation to match. A juicy, tropical, sweet finish. (4.25)

Compared to Hubbard's Cave Fresh Mosaic IIPA 5/30/22: Pours a brighter and clearer color, stronger head. Stronger aromas. More mango, pineapple, tropical citrus. Less peaches and creamsicle. Slightly more flavorful. Winner: Equillibrium

Compared to EQ Energy Equals 3/2023: Pours hazier with a larger head. Stronger aromas. More bitter mango skin

Overall: A wonderful, world-class IPA here. This one showcases the mango well. Mostly mango, peach, with some tropical apricot, pineapple, and orange to support. Heavier and sweeter, but I think the mango flavor necessitates that because mango drinks better when sweet. Some nice apricot notes here too. Strong carbonation to match. Fantastic flavors on this one. This is probably the best one I've had from this brewery so far and maybe among the best IPA out there. (Rating: 4.51)

16oz can. Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a small, white head of bubbly foam. It left sticky ring of lace on the glass. It smelled of orange, grapefruit, pine and sweet caramel/toffee. Sweet tropical fruit taste with toasted caramel and a sharp, piney bitterness.

Poured at 53°. Two fingers of white mixed bubbles; long lasting cap retention; heavy ring and bands of sticky lacing; deep gold; hazy verging on opaque body. Grapefruit nose, followed by orange and mango. Taste is semi sweet fruit juice; light bitter grapefruit zest; firm malt base. Medium minus body; dusty hops mouth feel; moderate minus carbonation; no astringency; no warmth from 8% abv. Overall, a very drinkable (for me) hazy; light enough in body to be quaffable; no off-putting aromas; taste is citrus pith; not too sweet with a tint of bitterness in the linger - I like, and will gladly drink more!
