Very Good
Notes: E=MC², and C is the universal symbol for the speed of light. We based this beer off of our beloved Photon pale ale but amped up the hop ratios and gave this beer our Energy treatment. This method improves aroma, enhances flavor and body by pulling the most out of from each hop.

C pours a bright straw yellow and has a beautiful nose that wafts up as soon as the can is cracked open. Balanced and luscious, it has deep flavors of stone fruit, mandarin orange, pineapple, and mango thanks to the increased hopping rates. You’ll notice a super soft crushable mouthfeel and a finish that builds up and exits at the speed of light.

a: hazy pale yellow and orange color with a little copper. i poured a large, 3-4 finger head head it's lasting pretty long. it's frothy and vibrant white

s: huge note of pineapple juice and mango upfront. tangerine, papaya, guava, dragonfruit. a little peach and passionfruit with kiwi. dry crackery in the back

t: just like the nose. pineapple juice with mango and peach. guava, tangerine, strawberry kiwi. mild orange juice and a touch of grapefruit. a slight sweet grainy note with dry crackers. really really well flavor development. great stonefruit presence

m: lighter side of medium, with moderate carbonation

o: absolutely awesome beer. for less than 5% it's packed with hop flavors, and not overly bitter like a lot of Pale Ales at this ABV. it's well-harmonized and delicious

Rich gold with some amber poking through. Hazy with an off white-pith colored head. hazy due to dry hopping. Not an incredible amount of lacing after the lofty head diminishes. Freshly cut mango releasing a woody, piney tropical sweetness; orange blossoms, pineapple, tangerine, jackfruit. Tropical/stone fruit juts out most, but the aroma strikes a good equilibrium. Although the woodiness of fresh cut mango doesn't go unnoticed. Likewise, the taste is subdued yet balanced, a hallmark of the style. Bright flavors of a fruity, tropical melon and pineapple. Nectarine, orange peel, wintermint. Malt is donut-like with an unassuming caramel and sweet chestnut vibe. Feel is light, super easy to crush, body carries sweetness well, but it's a bit undercarbed. It's not too bitter, and doesn't have that crisp snap.

Poured into a tulip glass. A hazy golden color with a medium white head. Nice retention and lacing. This one surprised me. Bright, juicy citrus with oranges and tangerines, both on the nose and on the palate. Not overly thin and huge bright flavor. A really nice session strength hoppy beer.

Quite exceptional for a 4.8% beer. Not surprisingly, the flavor profile can't keep up with the aroma profile at that low ABV level. But many of the same citrus, tropical fruit, pine, and herbal green notes comes through. The look and feel are very good (especially for the size), but not other-worldly. But it's still a very good and unbelievably drinkable APA. If there was a "sub-5% hazy" category, this one would get top marks. Against the broad world of APAs or hazy IPAs, in some cases competing against 7% and 8% beers, it's still remarkably solid.
