World-Class
Notes: Collaboration with Parish Brewing Co.

Using a mashed up grain bill from Straight Outta The Laboratory and Ghost in The Machine, we used a massive dose of CO2 extract, Citra Incognito, and our hand selected Citra T-90s on the hotside followed by an insane amount of Citra LUPOMAX and our hand selected Citra T-90s for the Double Dry Hop; the heaviest dry-hop in Equilibrium’s history.

Ghost In The Laboratory pours opaque and vivid yellow and has very strong aromas of extreme mango supported by tropical nectar. The flavor is explosive with extremely saturated notes of mango smoothie, Grovestand Orange Juice with plenty of pulp, orange tang, tropical fruit cup in syrup, dank grass, and a rainbow melon creamsicle note from our #EQjuice finish.

Thanks to adrock314 for sending me this 16 oz. can. Despite my skepticism of the generic hazy this one certainly has the lineage to raise my enthusiasm level to neutral.

Haze? This isn’t haze. This is melted down mango (well, mostly melted). Looks like a semi-solid that I could remove & toss to the wife. I won’t try. Unless she irritates me. The nose is sharp biting mango, lychee, & a bevy of other fruits dancing politely together. The sharpness gives me hope.

Ghost in the Laboratory isn’t lacking for flavor. There’s almost too much to identify. Mango, citrus, orange juice, & lychee are on top backed by a fist of bitterness to the back of the throast that keeps all the sweet tropicsness from getting out of hand. Finishes with sweet sunshine, but not so much that my old silver fillings start to ache. Filling. The big can might not be the right call.

The rare hazy that doesn’t leaving me feel like I’ve been waterboarded with undiluted cane sugar, this is executed with style & panache. Excellent IPA.

Pours a orange with a heavy opaque cloud to the transparency. Head is two fingers of white foam. Aroma is thick orange zest, papaya, tangerine, and guava. Some bubblegum sneaks into the back, but otherwise it's tropical fruits. Flavor profile is heavy orange, papaya, tangerine, guava, grapefruit, and passionfruit. Just decadent, and loaded from corner to corner. The dynamics here are between tropical fruit notes, which sounds par for the style, but in this case, there is no dead space between tropical fruits, and yet each is discernable amongst the mix. This keeps the volume at 9 out of 10 and rides it all the way through. Mouth feel is medium-thick with a creamy texture. Overall, decadent and extremely well done NE IPA.

Served in a 15.5oz Spiegelau tulip from a 16oz can.

Soft orange haze. Nose is mango and a little scalliony dankness. Taste is EQ juice, mango pulp, stone fruit, and bubblegum. Mouthfeel is a little thin for the flavors. Barely lingering bitterness.

16 oz shaker pint glass pour at Lures Bar & Grille. Pours a hazy yellow/orange with a fluffy head and great lacing. Aroma and flavor feature bright tropical fruit, candied citrus rind, soft wheat, and a hint of grassiness. Mouthfeel is smooth and slick with average carbonation. Not boozy or cloying. Overall a great (D)NEIPA.

Drank from a 1 pint can purchased at Craft Beer Cellar, Belmont, MA
Served in a tulip

Cloudy, pale yellow appearance. The body was topped by a fluffy, finger-tall, bright white crown that dropped to a large dollop of froth and a clingy, lasting collar. After each sip, a blanket of spotty, streaky lacing coated the glass.

The aroma was outstanding. Uber juicy and dank. Overripe mango came through big time. Loads of peach as well. Guava was noticeable too. Quite sweet overall. Fresh cannabis notes were also rather prominent. Bit of citrus peel. As the beer warmed, the citrus intensified.

The flavor profile was also fantastic. Huge tropical fruit presence. Overripe mango again came through big time. Juicy peach notes were also apparent. Bit of guava as well. Fairly sweet overall. Citrus notes came through on the back end and the finish. Grapefruit was most prominent. Bit of tangerine too. A hint of pithy, citrus rind-like bitterness lingered after the swallow.

Terrific smooth, fluffy mouthfeel. Medium bodied for the style. The liquid contained a finer beaded, moderate effervescence that tuned super frothy and slick on the palate.

Ghost In the Laboratory was an absolute juice bomb and definitely exceeded my expectations. With Equilibrium and Parish Brewing collaborating on this double IPA, I would have been surprised if it were anything less than stellar.

A: The beer is very hazy and a bit pale whitish yellow in color. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that left a thin collar around the edge and lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of lychee are present in the nose along with notes of lime.
T: The taste follows the smell and has stronger flavors of lychee and lime. Little to no bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels medium-bodied and very juicy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This NEIPA is an absolute juice bomb and is packed with aromas and flavors of Citra hops.

Picked up a 16 oz can from the Blue Door Bottleshop 1-27-22 for $7.50. No visible canning date; consumed 2-12-22.

Beer poured a turbid orange with an okay white head.

Nose is wonderful, full of tropical and citrus fruit.

Taste follows the nose with a very light but substantial pale malt base inoculated with a nice tropical citrus yeast and hop addition that provides a plethora of flavors including peach, orange, and mango. Finishes with a nice rind bitterness; 6/10 on my scale.

Mouthfeel is very light and refreshing.

Overall hard to go wrong with two excellent brewers like Equilibrium and Parrish!

poured from a 16oz can into a snifter. pours a milky, hazy orange with a finger of fluffy white head. citrus on the nose with some dank and pine. taste follows with as much dank and pine as it is pithy citrus. a soft, full mouthfeel with a smooth finish. zero alcohol to it. so easy drinking. not as much orange as i originally thought. lots of aromas and tastes i might associate with galaxy and citra combined. still, a very nice collab DIPA from two of the best in the game.

1/20/2022 dated tall can, shipped from EQ direct to my house.

Full on hazed/clouded EQ quality NEIPA look. All under a lasting cap, leaves great looking sheeting and fine bubble lace up and won the glass.

Juiced up nose with oranges all over the nasal sensory experience.

Luscious in and as it flow through the mouth.

Delicious and freshly flavorful juice bomb, with fresh oranges, mango, coconut, and guava all coming forward. World class NEIPA go get some, or reach out and have them send it to your door step.
