Stopped here for the Central Waters pre-party for the Great Taste.
The space and architecture was very nice, an 2nd floor atrium level with table seating looking down over the triangular island bar below. White painted brick with some faux finish antiqued details here and there, like a ghost sign mural at the top of the stairs. There was a live country band playing as part of the event, and all the huge walk-out windows were open, so you could hear the band a block away. The crowd was half beer people and half yuppies, for lack of a better term. The vibe wasn't overly pretentious, but I can see how it could be interpreted that way.

Skipped the menu as we just ate at Tipsy across the street. Central Waters Summarillo was very fresh and hit the spot, thanks to Steve for the round. Also sampled the BA barleywine which was tasty as ever. I can't speak to their typical draft list selection, but what they had was very good: 17 CW taps and several additional tied tappings of rarer stuff.

Overall it was a positive experience here and i'd definitely return for dinner when downtown again.

Nice vibe with big open ceiling. Not part of the main bar/restaurant but the converted vault on the basement is really cool. They don't have a massive taplist but what they do have is typically exceptional. Recently they've frequently had the most exciting taplist in town. Food is upscale-ish and delicious. I've had good service from waitresses but the one weak spot is trying to get service at the bar. It's a bit frustrating to have to wait for the bartender to make a bunch of complex mixed drinks when I just want a beer. They could definitely use an additional bartender or two. One of my new favorites.

Pizza place by day, craft bar by night. Three floors with various seating options and a hip, if borderline pretentious feel. A converted former bank on a corner of the Capitol Square that includes a converted vault room lined with communal booths. Tap list is always solid, with a good mix of locals, heavy hitting American, and a few well-curated imports. Definitely worth a try.
