32oz crowler purchased today at J's Liquor Owensboro poured into a huge thistle glass 8% ABV. The beer pours bright medium brown with ruby highlights and light brown head. The head recedes to a pencil thin ring and leaves no lacing. The aroma is faint, as in there is none. The taste is semisweet caramel malt with a slight burnt undertone and minimal bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation and a mostly dry finish. Overall, poor. I will give these guys the benefit of the doubt due to the lock down and what could be the age on this keg. Numerical rating given to match current average.

Pours a nice tawny red with thin khaki foam. Aroma of sweet caramel. Mouth feel is smooth and slight syrup with the right carbonation. Maybe a touch too sweet but I’ll drink it again

12 ounce bottle, no dating on it that I noticed. Another brew courtesy of Brutaltruth, thanks! Served in a thistle glass, the beer pours a clear reddish/copper color with maybe a half inch off-white head. Head retention and lacing are both decent enough. I like the aroma, the brew smells like toffee, caramel malt, raisin and earthiness. For the most part I think the taste is pretty much like the aroma, but there's also some black tea and bready flavors noticeable. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's a little slick and smooth with a moderate amount of carbonation. Easy enough to drink. I liked this brew, I know I'd like to try it again sometime.

What I look for in an ale! Poured from a growler via the brewery into
one of their fine pint glasses. This fine brew from Wooden Cask Pours a
medium dark orange tinged amber with a thick head of white foam that
settles to a thick ring and thin pool with spotty lacing. Nose of biscuit, sweet
rich caramel malts, subtle herbal notes, and light toasted malts. Flavors exceed
the nose with sweet rich caramel malts awash in light biscuit and breaded with
subtle floral hop notes on the rear. Excellent mouth feel, smooth, lightly creamy,
rich malty backbone, and a nice warming finish with medium light carbonation.

Darn near perfect. THIS is a keeper year round for the brewery---a malty rich beast
that satisfies with nice balance.

EXCELLENT!

Cheers
