From the 12 oz can in a snifter. This unique hybrid pours a chill hazed pale
golden with a moderate head of white foam that fizzles to a thin ring and light lacing.
Nose of sweet honey malts, faint bourbon, vanilla, and subtle spicy notes. Flavors
are surprising. honey sweet malt dashed about a bourbon barrel aged tripel, bubblegum
nuances, subtle lemon zest, vanilla, light breaded malts. Mouth feel is medium leaning towards
medium light, smooth, faint carbonation, lightly warming, well hidden booze, and finishing
moderately dry and sweet with warming booze notes.
Of note, warmth gives rise to some oak notes.
Overall, unique.....adjunct....hard to pinpoint....but it is unique and a welcome
addition from a great brewery!
Cheers

This strong ale is a fairly deep orange hazy with a faint head that fades to nothing. Smell is quite timid sweet malty with a hint of candy corn. Taste is pretty great reminds me a bit Candy corn smooth caramel and just a hint of barrel no burn or bourbon taste which is appreciated. Body is excellent slick smooth medium to heavy but again no burn.
Overall this one surprised me after hating Blackfire this one is more on par with a good bourbon strong ale. Definitely pick up a few more if its still on the shelf next visit.
