Green Chile Ale captures all that you love about fresh roasted chiles. A deep, roasted aroma greets you and a wonderful chile flavor follows. Serrano chiles are added to create a bright flavor and heat. English hops provide light bitterness and floral notes that let the big chile flavor shine. Finish is crisp and slightly spicy. Many people know Colorado for it’s majestic beauty, but not many know of the deep affection for chilies. Of the most coveted are Pueblo Chiles, enjoy with breakfast, lunch or dinner and taste the difference.

12oz can. No dating information found.
Gusher upon opening, with a clear, pale gold colored body. Brief white head. No lacing.
Aroma is evident upon opening the can, with a distinct chile presence.
Taste is clear with the chile, with a base of sweet toasted malts. Floral hops assist in the full expression of the green chiles. More chile expression in the aftertaste.
Light mouth feel. Minor chile burn on the tongue and in the mouth, which lingers. Foam upon opening but minimal head when poured.
Very good green chile nose and flavor, but no excessive burn.

12oz can. Poured out a clear, golden yellow color with a small, white head of foam. It left minimal lacing on the glass. It smelled of chilie heat, caramel and some bready notes. Nice spicy heat with chilies, caramel and toffee.

L: Pours a clear pale yellow with a medium size foamy head that dissipates quickly and leaves no lacing on the glass.

S: A nice slightly spicy green Chile, mixes with a nice baked bread.

T: A nice green Chile, with a hint of spice on the tongue but the heat is well balanced and ends with a nice bit of baked bread. Overall a very nicely balanced taste.

F: Light and smooth.

O: This is a very nicely balanced Chile beer.

Well, the 6 pack has a little, white paper tag stamped "2-21-21" on the plastic holders so, was the ale beyond optimum enjoyment? Nonetheless, we tried it and it was just fine. OK fine.
One may find Walters Chile Beer to be perhaps less flat, maybe, than this 3 month aged concoction. But this is ok ale.

I really enjoy this beer. I’ve hesitated buying chili beers before I knew what I was missing when I stumbled upon this golden gem. This beer is great. You will compare every chili beer to this one and come up short. I left a little room for a challenge to anyone capable of knocking my socks off with a better chili beer, than this.

Look - very clear pale yellow color with no real head at all from a pour out of a 12oz. can - goes flat instantly and very little carbonation directly after - pretty poor

Smell - very strong roasted green chilies aroma - slight cracker and bread - slight cracked black pepper and some dirt

Taste - huge blast of roasted green chilies - slight hops - slight malt and bread - hint of crackers - tiny bit of sweetness at first but gets dry towards the end

Feel - pretty thin - light bodied for sure - no carbonation after a minute or two and very uninteresting on the tongue

Overall - this one has a great chili pepper flavor and aroma - the rest of the features get lost / miss the marks / and are a tad bit disappointing - happy with the flavor of this one though - would have been better with more carbonation and some more malty beer flavor

Crystal clear, golden body; lively carbonation; lasting, frothy head. Fine, pungent chili pepper aroma. Bread crust malt punch initially with a slowly building chili heat. Medium-heavy body; almost slick smoothness offset with a nice, dry chili heat.

A pretty straightforward chili beer. The chili presence builds slowly yet ultimately leaves a fine, lingering fiery pueblo and Serrano flavor long into the finish.
