A Tavour Treat. Pours a dark gold color with a minimal head that lasts quite a while. Aroma of citrus and grapefuit. Taste is tangy grapefuit and orange. Finish is slightly bitter with an alcohol warmth

16oz can from Tavour. Dark orange/ golden pour with a thin ring of white head. Aroma is orange and tangerines with light milky notes. Sweet, fruity taste, citrus, juicy with lactose giving it a light smoothie feel. Finishes with light bitterness and citrus zest.

Traded for this recently as I never had this beer before but have enjoyed everything from Icarus that I’ve been able to get my hands on! No doubt that this continued on that tradition as it was a heavy beer that packed a flavorful punch to it and hid the alcohol well, as it was one of the more easygoing Imperial IPA's that I've had in quite some time.

Really enjoyed the pour to this as the beer had a bright, coppery hue to it that was plenty radiant and topped off with a near-perfect thick head that would make anyone think that beer was indeed "liquid bread". Loads of soapy lacing was left behind as the sheets didn't reveal any rings in particular but still covered much of the inside of my pint glass as there were ring-like gaps in the suds. Tons of sticky citrus, orange blossom honey, exotic tropical fruits, and nectar in the nose as the taste was equally floral, fruity, and sticky from the first sip to the last. Lots of lip-smacking mango and papaya entered the fray as this warmed up and this might have been my favorite beer from Icarus had this not had too much syrup underneath everything else that was going on. If the malt was sweet, that wouldn't surprise me one bit as it would easily complement all of the hops that went into this beer.

Yeah, this was a boozy mess deep down but it wasn't so readily apparent with the Sunshine State-sensibility that I picked up from this brew. Canned on 3/21 with "YOU ARE MY SUNSHINE" written above it, this had a bit of jack fruit in the aftertaste as it's exotic nature eventually won out in the end. Don't let the label fool you - this was a strong beer that packed it's heft under a veneer of fruit and hops as this would not be suitable for a day on the beach or a summer sunset. Just like it's name implies, you might get a bit burned upon having this, although you'll probably end up coming back for more...

Poured a cloudy, yellow-orange body with minimal head and lace. The aroma is mostly tropical fruit with some earthy hops as well. Thick-bodied beer with a heavy booziness that leaks into the beer, but still get a great amount tropical and grapefruit sweetness (mostly on the grape side) with a touch of malty sweetness as well. Slow sipping beer that is enjoyable and smooth but just a tad too boozy for me.
