Poured into a teku glass via bottle

Color is molasses

Smell is heavy on the cinnamon, mix of several (dark, milk, bakers) chocolates and a slight touch of chili peppers.

Taste follows the nose as the cinnamon is very prominent but does not dominate, semi sweet chocolate compliments the cinnamon nicely and there is a slight punch from the peppers. This is not too sweet..just enough to. Balance things out.

Carbonation is light and the mouthfeel is thick and creamy

One of the best mexian/ cinnamon stouts ive had..think of this being an amped up version of abraxas..exceptional

Poured from a 750ml bottle into an Abraxas Teku (get it). Pours an oily dark brown near black with a small tight brown head that dissipates quickly leaving a slight ring around the glass. Cinnamon and chocolate are the up front aromas. Great silky full body as is typical of these Vibes based stouts. The sip hangs on the side of the glass like it's trying to escape. More cinnamon and roasty chocolate on the sip. Faint hints of the vanilla and chilies. Seems to me more of the warmth is from the alcohol vs. the chilies at the moment. Great stuff from SP. Up there with the best of the the Mexican hot chocolate stouts.

This beer reminds me of Abraxas, so I'm rating it the same as that beer that I first tried almost 4 years ago. Had two draft pours while in line at release on 9-21-19. Pours a very dark brown, with mocha head. A strong, sweet, cinnamon aroma can be picked up on with your schnoz quite a ways away from the glass. The cinnamon flavor is the first flavor to hit the palate, and it sticks and covers the palate quickly. I perceived moments of a little chocolate, and a very faint kiss of heat. This is a thick and chewy beer, the kind that you don't mind lingering in your mouth for a copious amount of time. Is this Abraxas 2.0? Maybe.

poured from a 750mL bottle into an oversized snifter. pours pitch black with minimal mocha brown head they disappears quickly leaving a mocha collar around the glass. smells of chocolate, cinnamon, slight pepper burn, even slighter vanilla. taste is similar with the cinnamon leading the way. more prominent pepper burn and vanilla as it warms up. mouthfeel is spectacular, as has become the Vibes standard. probably the highlight of the pour. overall, it’s hard not to compare to abraxas even though i’m trying to drink this with a clean slate. it is abraxas but we it’s quite a bit different too. i think the difference primarily lies in the base stout. it’s hard to pick between the two but i wouldn’t complain about drinking either.
