Wildcat is a popular priced, quality lager introduced in 1993. Conventional brewing processes are used to produce a quality, mainstream lager using corn adjunct to deliver a light, dry flavour.

Wildcat Strong. Light, Dry, and "Regular" are also available from the Wildcat family, a product of Labatt Brewing Company.
Rad label. A big cat, mountains, and SPORTS SPORTS SPORTS font. Really stands out on the shelf.
I purchased this in Balfour, BC, where it sells for $21.49 Canadian for a 15 pack. To put that in to perspective I pay $14.99 for a 30 pack of Natural Ice/Keystone Ice in Northern California, so this would be $43 a 30 pack in Canada. Ouch.
I'd consider this a macro ice lager.
A: A one finger head from a hard pour out of the 355 mL can in to a hotel room glass. Head sticks around for a few minutes before becoming patchy with a bone white ring. Lacing is quite good. Beer is the standard light beer yellow that you'd expect. Streamers of carbonation from the bottom of the glass.
S: Not much. Metalic. Light berry fruitiness. Sweet grains. Corn. More than acceptable for the style.
T: The standard macro ice lager only a little better. Alcohol sticks out a bit. Corn and stale grain. Sweetness is immediately followed by bitterness and then finishes really clean, almost like a dry beer. Very poundable.
M: Surprisingly creamy with tight carbonation. Very slick and substantial. Best part of this beer.
O: Great ice beer, fits in well with the usual suspects. To me Wildcat Strong is 30% Coors Light, 30% Milwaukee's Best Ice, 30% Natty Ice, and 10% cheap champagne. Outstanding

355ml can. A decidedly difficult to come-by single, thank Jebus.
This beer pours a clear, golden yellow colour, with three fingers of fizzy, loosely foamy white head, which deconstructs itself before my eyes, leaving nada in the way, shape, or form of lace.
It smells of sweet, warm creamed corn, a fair bit musty, some melting plastic, and a dirty earthiness. The taste is an unholy blend of corn mush and spoiled apple puree, sauced up further by a somewhat saccharine booziness. Hops? None expected, none delivered.
The bubbles are a tad too prickly, but settle to a low buzz soon enough, the body a medium weight, one whose cloyingness factor punches at more of a light weight, but is off-putting all the same, the smoothness cookie-cutter at best. It finishes with a mildly surprising re-focus on the corny graininess, still too sweet and messy for any real redemption.
A typical 'strong' macro lager, nothing more. No skunkiness, per se, but rather chemicals and cheap-ass malt. Wildcat, I don't think I love you. Wildcat, why don't you go on a permanent strike?

I'm not going to lie, this beer is not good. However, if you're purchasing this beer it's probably not for flavor - you're probably in Canada looking for some post-skiing beers with a high APV. In which case, game on.
Like Bud Light, it's pretty heavily carbonated, tainted with a metallic flavor, and is only good as a vehicle for consuming alcohol with the intent to get drunk.
The humor value greatly exceeds the flavor value, so if you see it - get some. ...just make sure you can make it to the slopes the following morning.

10/01/05- Purchased at a random grocery store in Fairmont Hot Springs, BC.
Presentation- 12oz can, poured into a pint glass. Code stamped on the bottom of the can, but don't know how to read it.
Appearance- Golden pour with a fair 1/2 inch head and very light lace.
Smell- Corn, sweet malt and a metallic scent.
Taste- No better than the smell. Extremely sweet corn malt with an odd medicinal taste to go along with it.
Mouthfeel- Over carbonated, but just a bit. Not good aftertaste.
Drinkability- I pretty much knew what I was getting into when I bought this beer. Any beer that specifies that it is "strong" isn't a beer that's going to be good. One of the poorer macro's I've had.

Yuck. This is horrible, from the pour to the last sip, it was horrible all the way through.
Extremely over-carbonated, I don't remember it being this bad. The flavour was off, and start off with an aftertaste that could kill a rat. Heavy alcohol taste and smell. Makes me gag though. I had half of this bottle (341ml) and that was it. I would not drink more than one of these due to the over-carbonation and the over-powering god-awful taste.
