Straw yellow appearance with lots of head that quickly disappears. Smell is sweet with corn and cooked vegetables.

Taste is very sweet with a strong hint of corn. Malty with a bit of a metallic finish. Definite hint of booze to this. Medium bodied with high carbonation. After taste is boozy and metallic.

Overall, this is just a ghetto version of lucky lager. Designed to get drunk for cheap and nothing else. We can all be thankful this is no longer being brewed.

355ml can, 6.0% ABV. Support local brewers - ya can't get more physically local than that big Labatt's plant on Edmonton's southside, spewing out more than one kind of filth into the surrounding communities.

This beer pours a clear, pale golden yellow colour, with three fingers of thinly billowy white head, which settles in agreeable time, i.e. not too long to put me in danger of drinking this bloody thing warm, and leaves some surprisingly consistent chain-link lace around the glass.

It smells of sweet, husky, cooked corn, and warm plastic. The taste is 40 year-old dive bar chair upholstery, and blowing your Pogie cheque on crappy Lucky Lager instead of other frivolities, like, y'know, rent. I know, I worked a meta reference into the taste profile - booyaa! For the more pedantic - the taste is sweet corn mash, and metallic, gassy alcohol.

The carbonation is the star of the show - coming in at barely average - and with all that good ol' fashioned maize, you can't be surprised by the palate-deadening, cloying body. It finishes with a lessening sweetness, the skunky veggie notes fighting with the booze to claim credit for the attempt at a drying balance.

Papa Malt Liquor's bastard son - too much corn and not enough booze to make the still failing grade. Don't feel sorry for yourselves, those who sup at the bottom of the barrel (myself included right now), just be happy with the li'l bit of "extra", um, something, you're getting here. And say nothing further of this - I surely shan't.

355ml can poured into pint glass nov29 2010

A clear straw yellow with a freakish amount of bubbles feeding a thumbs width of bone white foam that retains well to my surprise and even leaves a few patches of lace

S some candied corn, a little honey but chemical smell I can't quite place hurts its cause

T sour sweet malt with a bit of a petrol taste that's not so nice

M thin but very well carbonated but leaves a bad taste in my mouth

D better then expected but that's still not so good

found this one at the train station on the way home, an unopened can of beer just sitting there the say "lucky" on it... the can lied

Lets get right to this, I'm a man that chops alot of wood.

Had a 355ml can poured into a Subway fountian-pop cup, enjoyed while walking around downtown Edmonton.

Appearance - looked exactly like beer, yellowy clear, normal beer.

Smell - smelt like a beer, like a mans beer. After chopping like 25 pieces of wood, all beer smells the same.

Head - This was the most annoying part, I kept trying to pour it into my Subway fountian-pop cup, but it kept foaming up too much so that i couldn't get the whole can in there quickly. Those of you who enjoy drinking public, remember this and maybe look for another beer.

Taste- Tasted as rewarding as chopping 25 or maybe even 30 pieces of wood out on my farm. exellent beer, tastes like good work done well.

Exellent beer, i was floored by luck lager so i figured the Lucky Lager Extra would not let me down and i'm happy to say it didn't. thanks
