12oz bottle. Served in a snifter glass. Hazy, cloudy and murky golden straw-yellow body. One finger white head. Good head retention. Bits of lacing. A bit murkier than typical. Aroma is mainly pineapple juice, a bit of citrus, grapefruit zest, a bit of fruity esters, sort of like the iso (banana) you get from Hefeweizens. Not much sweetness at all from the base malt. Could very well be wheat in the grain bill but I think that's the banana talking. The beer tastes fairly chalky throughout the beer, more of a overripe grapefruit flavour, a bit of grapefruit zest/skin, not very bitter at all. Not a whole lot else going on here; it's eliminated the sweetness and bitterness, and what's left isn't providing much. Medium-lighter bodied, good carbonation. Not very much bitterness, a bit watery; the biggest issue isn't that the hops aren't expressed very much- it's that there isn't much depth to this beer at all. Chalky finish. For a first attempt, this is a solid one, and illustrates the difference between brewing in concept, maybe 5 gallon batches (presumably) and brewing on a bigger system. The depth, flavours and mouthfeel are not there at all. That being said, it's certainly not a bad beer. I don't mind the price point for the overall concept, but for me, $15 is a bit too much for a 4-pack of this.

Untitled Art Juicy IPA b2

A: This attempt at the oh-so-popular New England IPA style pours slightly cloudy but nowhere near the full-pulp orange juice slurry that comes out of Trillium, Tree House, and the like; no, this looks more like an Alchemist product if you avoid pouring the yeast. The slightly off-white three fingers of head has incredible retention. Lacing is very good. Carbonation appears high. The actual color of the liquid, a light golden orange, seems almost imperceptibly darker than many NEIPAs, but it is in that ballpark (and it avoids the darker orange look that many Midwestern IPAs lean toward). It should be hazier, but otherwise this is nice-looking. 4.25/5

A: The aroma is a little weak overall. Most of the hallmarks of NEIPAs are here (and indeed most modern IPAs) with peach, apricot, orange, mandarin, mango, papaya, lemon, and a little crackery malt, but it is all a bit muted. It is really nice-smelling, but the aromas just do not pop like they do in the upper crust of the style. There is also a little alcohol toward the end. 3.5/5

T: The taste is a definite improvement over the aroma with a definite juiciness. Orange and peach are the dominant flavors, but mango is a big supporting character, plus Meyer lemon and some grapefruit that was not present in the aroma. There is a light grassy bitterness in line with the style, just enough to balance it out. Some grainy cracker shows up in the middle. The alcohol does rear up a little toward the end. The flavors are nice, but like the aroma, it falls well short of the intensity of the better NEIPAs. 3.75/5

M: It is a bit watery and lacks the soft-yet-full feel that is such a huge component of the style. The low level of bitterness is spot-on; the carbonation, however, is not. Other reviews state that it is overcarbed, but this batch seems undercarbed. 3.25/5

O: This is an alright beer, and it is not the worst example of the style. It does show a lot of promise, and if they can dial in the mouthfeel and make the hops pop a little more, this will be a great beer for the Wisconsin market. As it is, it is still better than many other options in the area, but it is not quite the genuine article. Pair with Between the Buried and Me's "The Anatomy Of." 3.75/5

16oz can dated 5/7/18.

Pours cloudy straw yellow with a pillowy head of white and dotted lacing. Orange and guava sherbet topped with fresh mint in the nose. Medium bodied with a creamy, rounded mouthfeel. Sugar-dusted tropical fruit on the palate with zero malt or bitterness. Finishes slightly sweet akin to a lactose addition.

Nice beer and certainly unique. Not the hoppiest or juiciest IPA but somewhat similar to a milkshake.

Canned 8/22/19 consumed a month later.
Murky brownish orange dishwater color, thin layer of surface foam and spotty lace. Aroma is a little saccharine, overripe fruit and bubblegum. Taste is the same, sweet juicyfruit gum. Kind of watery and overly yeasty.
Light bodied, a little astringent, not the best example of an NEIPA.

This was a bit of a surprise to me as I had never heard of this brewery at the time I tried the beer. I had it at Stillwater Grille in Fort Myers, FL. It came in a 16 oz can. Poured into a tulip glass. Nice orange thick hazy body. NE Style IPA is what this beer is. The head was a tight lacy white cloud. The aroma is of oranges, flowers, citrus hops, and a bit of cream. Very close to an old school orange creamsicle. The flavor was more of orange citrus and thick creamy body. Maybe some oats were used int he malt bill. Either way I was glad this one was suggested to me because I thought it was outstanding!

Super hazy orange, great head and lacing. Smells citrusy. Taste is citrusy and yet sweet, some syrup on the back end. Overall this was ok but I wasn't crazy about it.

Pours a frothy, white head that has great persistence and lacing. Amazing, bright, citrus aroma. Hazy, straw color. Starts with a bitter, bright citrus flavor. Lots and lots of citrus rind, with a touch of tropical fruit and pine in the background. Medium bitterness. Finish is lingering citrus bitterness.

This is really nice. Lots of hoppiness, minimal bitterness; I love Wisconsin IPA's!
