A - Pours pitch black with a thin creamy tan head. Light amount of soapy lacing.
S - Aroma is hazelnut, vanilla, caramel
T - The taste is milk chocolate, hazelnut, vanilla, caramel, dark roasted coffee and some nice barrel warmth.
M - Medium body with medium carbonation. Creamy mouthfeel with a soft drying mouthfeel.
O - Really solid stout. Not overly sweet with a good amount of barrel heat. Drinks easier than 13%.

Type: 16-oz. can
Reviewed as: Double Milk / Sweet Stout
Glass: Pure Project 16-oz. snifter
Price: $8.99 (10 pct. of. $9.99)
From: San Diego Wine & Beer Co.
Purchased: Feb. 15, 2022
Consumed: March 26, 2022
Misc.: Collaboration with Mikerphone; Canned on Aug. 8, 2021 at 6:16 p.m. CT
Stopped at San Diego Wine & Beer Company on the way home from a work function. Intended to pick up six cans to get the 10 pct. off but almost $60 later I came away with eight cans. Can description called for a “Barrel-aged imperial stout with cacao nibs, hazelunut and milk sugar.” Untappd description added espresso beans.
Poured a very dark, almost pitch black, color with 1-to-2 fingers of khaki-tan fizzy head. Could see some bubbles coming up along the sides of the glass. Below average watery lacing. Good retention. (Sight - 3.50)
Smelled hazelnut, cacao nibs, vanilla, espresso, popcorn, leathery oak, caramel, toffee, bourbon and wood. Much better out of the can. (Smell - 4.00)
Tasted much better than the nose. In order got hazelnut, cacao nibs, vanilla, toasted coconut, chocolate cake, espresso, bourbon, leathery oak, caramel, toffee, molasses, popcorn and wood. (Taste - 4.25)
Medium-to-full body. Sticky texture. Average-to-soft carbonation. Long, smooth finish, (Feel - 4.75)
Just a really good stout. Glad I picked up a can. (Overall - 4.25)

Pours pitch black with a finger of dark mocha head that dissipates quickly.
Aroma is big hazelnut, dark chocolate, cocoa powder, toffee, vanilla, lactose sweetness, some roasted malt, slight oak and bourbon. The barrel character is light, with the hazelnut and chocolate being the star of the show.
Taste follows the aroma well. Huge Nutella vibes. Big authentic hazelnut, fudge, dark chocolate, caramel, lactose sweetness, slight peanut brittle, roasted malt, toffee, slight charred oak tannin, slight bourbon. There's some slight semblance of balance from the roasted malt and oak barrel, but I wish this had a bit more of that barrel character to counteract the heavy sweetness.
Low full body. Thick, silky, sticky. Medium carbonation.
Untitled Art's pastry stouts are always true to the style with plenty of the adjuncts and sweetness, so it's no surprise that this beer fits that bill. I just wish this had more barrel character to balance it out more. If that was the case, this would be some upper tier stuff. As it is now, it's solid.

Forgot about this one, thanks to Tom for the trade! Two fingers of mocha foam. Pretty intense hazelnut flavor. Nutty hazelnut brownie and popcorn aroma. Fudgy chocolate, barrel is present but in the background. Serious heat but not overwhelming. Medium bodied, light carbonation, moderately sweet. Still pretty drinkable despite the 13% abv.

A 16 oz. can to kick off a late, snowy evening. And can I say I wish Untitled Art didn’t think so highly of their beer - I’d buy more if it wasn’t roughly the same price per ounce as silver. Split with wife #1.
Light in color for a big stout, dark brown with plenty of shimmering red along the edges. The nose is mostly pulverized hazelnut.
Barrel-Aged Hazelnut Imperial Stout – holy sugar overdose. The lactose, cocoa, & hazelnut combine to form something sweeter than mainlining thaumatin. And perhaps my palate is broked, but I can detect no barrel. A 1.5 ounce sample would have been sufficient.
Just glanced at the reviews & I don’t even recognize the beer people are writing about. This is terrible. Trouble is, amidst their epic strikeout, the brewery sometimes knocks one into the cheap seats; but the price is enough to keep me away for the foreseeable future. Both my wife & I are headed for the drain. Sads.
