Pours thick sticky black. Off white tan head that fades.
Big maple on the nose. Taste follows. The chocolate and vanilla are in the background but the maple lads the way. Makes it very sweet. Had to split.
Good beer but just not balanced enough to be a great beer.

Poured a black body with minimal head and no lace. Basically the aroma is maple syrup with hints of vanilla. Smooth, well-hidden ABV, has a slight woody and vanilla sweetness, don't really get chocolate, and it is underneath a dominating maple syrup flavor but beer avoids being cloying and is oh so tasty.

Red wine-tinted Black with two fat fingers of dark tan head. Decent lacing. Maple, roasted malts and chocolate in the nose. The taste follows with huge maple, roasty malts and rich dark chocolate. Hints of vanilla, stone fruit and coffee behind. Full bodied and creamy with modest carbonation. The roasted malts in this are very tasty. Nice dessert beer.

Thanks to a mensch among mensch, C.D. for this can, which I missed when it passed through WI in a few milliseconds. 16 oz. can.
As black & cold & lifeless as the heart of Kay Ivey. Zero head, which is a sad way to live, but I’ll bet Kay does. The nose is rich, sweet, chocolate goodness. I like all those things.
Chocolate Vanilla Maple Imperial Stout – if you don’t screw it up, how could this be bad? Narrator: it’s not screwed up. This has that classic Angry Chair mouthfeel that makes it feel you could walk across a pond of it: thick, that is. The taste is exhaustively described in the book’s title & you get all of it in spades. The maple is lovely, vanilla excruciatingly exact, with enough milk chocolate to satiate my daily ration/addiction, with a fingernail of roast on the end. No problem with this 16” sliding down my throat.
Adjunct city & one of the best stout that hasn’t been infected with a barrel I’ve had in a while. Thick dessert deliciousness & an excellent beer.

Holy f*ck. I haven't reviewed a beer on any site in almost ten years but this one had me crying for a review. This is literally candy, a chocolate vanilla croissant in a bottle. If you don't like it, you're wrong and I hate you.
