750ml bottle, snifter glass. Pours a syrupy, medium caramel brown body, one half finger white head, short retention, thick legs, not much lacing. Smell is big caramel and bourbon sweetness, light oak, a bit of toffee as well. This carries no booziness on the nose at all, even as it warms. That being said, on the palate, this is a ton of beer to handle. Massive caramel and toffee, a bit of earth, bourbon, light smoke, molasses and sugary caramel. Full bodied, syrupy, thick and relatively low carbonation. This is pretty massive as expected, but it doesn't have much booziness to it. Pretty dang nice, but it's definitely not a solo bottle to take down.

What stands out to me with this cherry wood reddish-brown beer is how super thick and viscous it is. Syrupy, sticky bourbon and toffee up front give way to notes of dates and pecans. It definitely has a substantial heat to it, but it's relatively balanced, allowing further notes of bananas Foster, caramel and butterscotch candies to develop.
