kettle sour type with white grape juice added, fun project, tart but not too sour to drink on, the fruit aspect seems authentic to me, and it has more of a green grape from the fridge nose and taste rather than an actual white wine thing going on, nice and fresh and tangy and fun, more summer than winter, but whatever, cool to see some new ones from these guys come through idaho. a little starchy and hazy looking, not amazingly well refined in appearance, looks weighty for what i assumed were going to be delicate flavors, but the carbonation is there and it has a decent white head on it from the tap. the nose is floral and tart, citrus up front and more obvious grape character later on, fruity like sauvignon blanc specifically actually, although i have no idea what is really used in this. i like the clean sourness with the lemony highlights, super compatible with the fruit, mouthwatering the whole way, aroma and flavor pretty similar. a touch more wheaty malt to this than i think it needs, like its not delicate at all its hefty, but the flavor is balanced and good and i do appreciate it not being all fruit, it still is beery with the malt. i get some nuance as this warms of white cranberry and white currant, pear skin, and daffodil. neat beer, i like the relaxed acidity and the softness, a good effort from these guys!
