Ho Ho Hope for the Kids is a holiday spin on No Hope for the Kids. The biggest difference is a portion of the can sales will be donated to a different youth charity in New Haven each year! Dry hopped with a blend of Columbus, Mosaic, and Simcoe, this version lends bright grapefruit aromas with distinct stone fruit and pine flavors.

From first sniff this beer excited me. It reminded me of counterweight crucial mass with a papaya and almost bubblegum vibe… but I enjoyed this much more at the 6.4% abv. Medium carbonation. Definitely getting that mosaic stone fruit. Finishes slightly dry (possibly from the simcoe) while still feeling juicy yet medium to thin bodied. It’s clear and drinks so smoothly, not really hazy or chewy. Not really getting the pine mentioned in the description. My wheelhouse is single ipas that punch up the hop flavor at a “reasonable” abv (5-7%) and this fits that description. excellent beer.

Look... light brownish yellow with ample carbonation. Turbid with no floaties
Smell...faint hop smell with pithy grapefruit .
Taste...Good bitter up front ,,,middle fruity pungent dank from the dry hopping. a present balanced bitter finish
Feel...Thin at 6.4% juicy and frothy with some lacing. Feel is exactly where expected at said ABV
Overall....This is a good beer and one i tried mostly because of the dry hopping because i am always curious to see how it will change the beer...I won because this beer is def beyond just alright...Counterweight continues to make good stuff
