Notes: We've been talking about making a beer for our friends at Old School Pizzeria in downtown Olympia since we opened our doors. As it often goes with friends, most of it turned into sarcastic jokes and great ideas never to be followed up on.... until now! We’re stoked to bring you Old School Pale: a bright, thirst-quenching pale with Centennial, Citra, Simcoe and Mosaic hops backed with Skagit Valley malt. The use of Pub yeast insures a clean, clear pale beer as classic as the pies they toss down at Old School. Piney without being too dank and just the right amount of citrus notes to cut through a big ol' slice of ‘Roni.

16oz can, dated 7/8/19, poured into 14oz teku. Poured a nearly opaque yellow, with 1/4 inch of white head that had low retention and lacing. Near the end of the can there were a considerable amount of floaties.

Subdued hop aroma at the front, very light grain in the back. Same on the tongue, with a bit of citrusy hop bite on the finish.

The body was on the light side of medium, and had medium-sweet finish. Drinkability was fine, no issues. Overall, an acceptable beer. Not a particularly notable one, but not a waste of time either.

Amberish brew with very modest foam in the goblet. Hops are listed as Centennial, Citra, Simcoe, and Mosaic. Aromatic with citrus. Some malt. Not bitter. Fruity.

This is well, OK, but easy to sip. Surprisingly cloudy after the second pour, so watch the sediment. Brewed for Old School Pizzaria. From the 16 oz can purchased at the beer store up north.
