A: The beer is hazy yellow in color and has a light to moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a finger high bright white head that died down but consistently left a layer of bubbles covering the surface and lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of yeast are present in the nose along with hints of grainy malts.
T: The taste is nearly a mirror image of the smell except that the yeast flavors are a little stronger.
M: It feels medium-bodied and slightly chewy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation. There is a touch of dryness in the finish.
O: This kellerbier is nice and yeasty but isn't that difficult to drink.

Can from The Beermongers. Thanks, Bill.

A mildly hazy light orange with a dense, off-white head with good retention and lacing, this looks solid. The nose is soft, doughy and surprisingly hoppy with a juicy, lemony, mildly minty bitterness. A touch of grass is present as well. The palate opens quite bitter with lemon, mint and with a definite grainy sweetness, mildly honey and caramel like. Medium light in body , softly carbonated, this beer is quite creamy on the palate. A nice, soft fullness that I associate with the style is also present. The grain flavors are a little more Americanized , with a mild sweetness and a less rustic bent. Still, I applaud the Brewers for taking on this oft ignored style.

Bright and generally clear golden body; tons of lively carbonation; dense and creamy head, sticky rings and sheets of foam cling to the glass. Excellent classic German lager smell; crisp with a slight sweetness to the light grain notes; sweet spiciness. A beautiful toasted grain flavor overall; bread crust; clean; mild sweetness offset with a low-key hop bitterness. Medium body; crisp with a twinge of creaminess; sticky; mainly dry overall.

The beer has a minimum of cloudiness to it, which is expected for a kellerbier. Other than that, this is one finely brewed lager. The beer delivers some fine and compelling flavors and textures to your palate, remains very approachable, and is a great joy to drink.
