Revolution Social Brew House

Found this craft beer bar & eatery right off the Green in the middle of Morristown, on one of the main streets. Situated in an older commercial building this place has a great vibe, with tables on the street in the summer. We were lucky enough to get one; excellent people watching even on a Tuesday night. Very good selection of craft beers, about 40 on tap; plus a wide variety of canned and bottled brews. I had a Wyndridge Farm Mutton Bustin' IPA on tap to start with, and a Flying Fish Jersey Juice IPA from a pint can to go with my meal. For dinner we had the sausage combo: 4 kinds of sausage with kraut and potato salad. It was excellent, enough for two of us to split, and reasonably priced. I would highly recommend Revolution for both the beer and the food!

 

This revitalized section of Morristown has achieved a tremendous draw to a section of this city in need of a social remake. Revolution has taken the original architecture and complimented it with a stylish and open gathering place, It is my a favorite with 40 beers on tap and an extremely well trained and educated staff that knows the lineup and the art of draft beer delivery that is always clean and fresh. The menu and food stack up to the beer selection, too, with all-time favorites and a peppering of creative cuisine for those with a broad appetite or palate for interesting food.

Cool atmosphere, knowledgeable staff (at least our bar server with which we engaged), tasty food and great beer. Excellent New Jersey craft focus, but still able to get things from outside the state and country.

New craft beer bars are all the rage in upscale downtowns like Morristown's. Revolution Social Brew House is the real deal with up to 40 taps featuring a wide variety of excellent craft beers, including many from New Jersey. There is also a great selection of canned and bottled craft beer. The bar area is quite large. The atmosphere is industrial with high ceilings and lots of space. The menu is largely German and features excellent bratwursts. Revolution opened recently and has quickly become very popular.
