Stopped in here recently after the Beer Temple taproom. Not sure why it's taken me so long to get here, it was good back when Square Bar was here, but Dmen Tap is definitely cooler and more metal. Symbiotic with Kuma's across the street, the vibe is dark and heavy with loud metal blasting.

The bar forms a C-shape, and some table seating along the wall in the brick walled front room. Dense, psychedelic fantasy art paintings dot the walls, and a dark kaiju-style mural on the back wall that unironically includes trump tower, somehow unscathed. The vibe is cozy and pretty chill, there was even a group of seniors hanging out which was cool and slightly crazy at the same time.

Beers were mainly FFF and Warpigs, with a couple of rotating seasonals. The weekend before halloween, Avery Rumpkin was on. Not a big selection of drafts, maybe 8-10, with a couple ciders. Behemoth was also the latest and greatest.

Service at the bar was friendly and timely, the bartender was a nice guy that chatted beer and music with us.

Food was good, the lamb doner kebab and poutine were enjoyable. Interesting street food, if you're hungry now and don't want to wait 2 hours for a burger at Kuma's. All in all a great spot for beer and metal in Avondale. Thanks to Monsone for the generous assist.

2018: After having the chicken doner kebab a couple times (no more lamb), it's been fairly dry and bland. Had a couple draft samples that seemed a little long in the tooth, but no harm no foul. They had unfiltered Urquell on, which was great.

Cool place. Lots of fantasy art on the walls. Great beer selection that always has a few hard to find Three Floyds on tap ( a Floyddivision series). Only a few weeks old but bartender informed me they plan on having many beer events soon. Food is same as the Dönermen food truck so its already good. Bartenders also spin records with guest djs! Great joint!
