330ml bottle from a gift pack purchased at the LCBO. Expiry date of July 25, 2025. Consumed Jan. 3, 2024.
L: Clear golden yellow, bordering on amber, with three fingers of bright white foam. Strands of lacing line the tulip glass.
S: Fruity and effervescent yeast imparts apricot, Bosc pear & fuzzy peach. Some ethanol, floral hop + earthy vine. Enticing aromas, though less robust than top-tier examples of the style.
T: Mostly follows the nose, but this is milder than other, well-known examples (Karmeliet, Westmalle, St. Bernie’s, Rochefort, etc).
F: Full bodied, mouth-coating feel. Spicy-peppery middle with high carbonation. Dry, lightly bitter, warming finish.
O: Similar to the Augustijn Blonde and Dubbel, this is superbly balanced. My only complaint is that, compared to the very best Tripels, the flavour and aroma are a bit subdued. Nevertheless, Grand Cru is a well constructed beer that should be tried at least once.

Poured a 330ml stubby bottle into a chalice. A two finger fine white head on a very slightly hazy gold. The head sticks around to the end. Lots of billowy lacing.
Spicy nose. Pear.
Subdued malt flavours. A very mild but long hop finish. ABV is well hidden.
Very smooth and balanced.
A fine Pale Strong and right on style.

Had a 12 oz serving at the Yardhouse in Greenville, SC on 5-30-21 for $7.99.
Beer was served blond with a nice white head.
Nose was pilsner malt base with apples and pears from the yeast strain.
Taste was a large but lighter pale malt base with a nice yeast impartation of pear and apple. Finished balanced and not hot like some BSPA's come across.
Mouthfeel was light and smooth at the same time.
Overall a legit BSPA, definitely worth a shot if you can find the bottled form for a more reasonable cost.

Blind-tasted except for the beer's name and brewery/country, zero reviews below read (yet!)...
L- Darker gold, pours slightly hazy with a 2Cm pillowy off-white head. [Some sediment has been left in the bottle]. ps. after 10mins, holds very well.
S- Very mild, perhaps hints of light spice?...
T- Oh ok, it's quite hoppy, as in trad dry hops. This rolls over into a lightly fruity (vs spicy) aspect, with a decent level of malt making it's presence apparent.
F- It has some richness but the level of hops balances it to an extent. Overall it remains net hoppy-dry, despite being clearly a pretty full-on brew.
O- Big and punchy whilst having a dominant hops aspect. Very nice and I'd happily drink it again. Perhaps a bit full-on whilst also lacking great detail or charm for me to go out and buy again.
Review/scoring all done, now the reveal, I get to read the bottle lables to see what I missed! ==> Nothing to add.
330ml bottle BB: 19/11/2022 Euro2.50 Bought from BeerMania/Belgium as part of a large pick-your own consignment to London.
