Pours a hazy golden color with a medium top of white creamy head that dissolves quickly and leaves some nice lacings. The aroma is of apples, pears, vanilla, yeast and bread.
The taste is sweet and fruity with some light malt notes in the back. The the flavour gets more dry with spicy notes while the finish has a slight bitterness with a decent lenght on the aftertaste. Mouthfeel is a little flat but smooth with a medium body and moderate carbonation.
All in all this is a decent and refreshing blonde ale.

Smokeless Joe (Toronto, Ontario, Canada)

It poured a golden orange colour into the glass with a fluffy white head that dissipated very quickly leaving almost no foam on the top. Lots of effervescence. The aroma was a combination of malts and yeast. The mouthfeel is crisp with a lot of carbonation - dances on the tongue. The taste is slightly bitter with some malty tones. Not a great beer by any stretch.

Highly carbonated. Decent head that lingered. Tastes of pears and light citrus. Over all it was decent and refreshing but not something I'd buy again for the price.

Got the 75cl bottle in hands, I like the bottle design: it is beatiful even though the imprint is not enamel. The beer is quite fresh, so I am expecting a fruity and lively experience. So let's see: poured into a goblet, good foam, nice big head. Amber colour and slightly opaque. Aromas of vanilla, banana and yeasts, the fruity smell is coming from the yeasts, but also some of the fruitiness is coming from the hops: Aromas of peach, apple and apricot. The aromas are similar to the ones that a typical south german Hefeweizen or Weizenbock would have. Drinkability is good, quite quaffable but it is not that lively and refreshing as I expected Much of the sweet banana on the palate but all in all the flavour isn't kicking me out of my socks. This is a bottle conditioned beer and therefore flavours of the batches could differ, my bottle here is not really lively and tastes a little too sweet. Maybe some other Batches taste more dry and turn out to be more fizzy....

Amber and hazy. Big creamy head. Good lacing. Fruity yeast, pears. Malt and spicy phenols in aroma. Flavor is mostly medium sweet malt, caramel, plenty of fruitiness . All well balanced, but more toward a fruitiness. Way out too fruity for me... Medium-low bitterness. Medium body. Average carbonation. Oily and creamy, dry spicy finish. Warm alcohol.

You can feel too much alcohol. To sweet. Good.

Bottle at home. Murky orange with a white head. Notes of herbal hops, caramel, yeast, spices and alcohol. Medium bodied, medium to high carbonation and a bitter-sweet carbonation.

330ml bottle from a sampler pack. This bottle's got a bb date of 22/06/17. It's been ageing for a solid year and I decided to drink it because I'd pretty much forgotten about it until I picked a fresh sampler pack today. Served at just below cellar temperature in a Belgian tulip glass.

Nice light amber colour. Foamy head dissipates quickly. Some lacing.

Aroma is bread and a very distinctive hint of vanilla.

Nice light Belgian ale. A nice combination of bready malts and light fruity yeast esters . Some ripe pineapple and stone fruits. As with the nose, a very distinctive hint of vanilla is present. Not too much sweetness or booziness from this aged bottle.

Mouthfeel is slightly thin.

Overall, a nice little Belgian ale that doesn't hit you over the head with too many big flavours or too much booze.

This was in a global Beer sampler pack, but I can't find my notes. I will have to hunt the beer and notes.

So, consider a better source. MJ's "Great Beers of Belgium" said this blonde was "full gold, but happier, both in its spicy, earthy, grassy, vanilla-like aroma and dryish flavors...more than most abbey beers. It also has a good, creamy, malt background."

Pour slowl2y. Recommende temp: 46°F (8°C)

Looks good. Nice head throughout.

Smells like an average blonde.

Taste is not quite blonde. Alcohol taste is apparent.

Again, pour slowly. Well carbonated beer that will leave bubbles throughout tasting.
