Found this at Falling Rock. Menu states that this beer uses the Grain Bill of 1903's Coors Banquet brew. It's only available at Coors brewery and Falling Rock, so I'm told.
Billed as a pilsner this beer pours a slight hazy, light amber to gold color. Nice foaming head 1 1/2 fingers. Looks really good. Is this reallly from Coors?
Smells almost like a PA, hops come through the malt like a razor, especially when expecting a pilsner smell.
Taste follows the nose. PA hints to it. Nice crispness through the malt, totally different than modern-day Coors Banquet. The hops deliver a nice bite, but their flavor stops short of a PA. Citrus hints try to come through, but fail. This is really noticable toward the end of the pint.
Overall, the best Coors product I've tried.
