Notes: Blue Moon LightSky, a 95-calorie, light citrus wheat beer. Brewed with real tangerine peel and dry hopped with Azacca, this 4% ABV quencher packs bright citrus on the nose and a touch of malt sweetness.

Now I'm grading this on the fact that its a low carb beer.
Aroma is grain, tangerine fruit and peel, mild floral honey.
Taste is very similar to aroma, not overpowering but flavorful enough to keep me interested.
For low carb its a very decent beer

A: Pours a very lightly hazy pale yellow in color with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising quickly from the bottom of the glass and moderate straw yellow + pale golden yellow + bright yellow colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall fizzy sudsy foamy bright white head that quickly reduces to a couple of small patches of thin film surrounded by a large patch of mottled very thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Minimal amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate aromas of citrus/tangerine zest + citrus/tangerine + artificial orange over the top of moderate aromas of wheat + grainy + pale malts with a minimal amount of grainy + sugary sweetness.

T: Upfront there are light to moderate flavors of wheat + grainy + pale malts with a minimal amount of grainy + sugary sweetness. That is followed by slightly lighter than moderate flavors of citrus/tangerine zest + citrus/tangerine + artificial orange. No perceptible hop presence and minimal bitterness is present.

M: Light bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Slightly crisp upfront and slightly thin/watery. Hints of dryness in the finish.

O: Easy to drink with the light and slightly dry mouthfeel as well as the well hidden alcohol. Overall the flavor and aroma of this beer are quite light and I don’t love the artificial orange flavor/aroma that has been added.

Gold in color with a lot of fine sediment within the body. There’s a fingernail of of off white around three quarters of the rim and covering two thirds of the top. Faint lacing. The aroma is of pale wheat and orange. I’m tasting artificial orange (like a scented candle) and pale wheat. The mouth is thin and watery.

People on this website are intentionally obnoxious when rating light beers. You don’t drink this because you want depth of flavor you drink this because your on your buddies lawn and it’s 90 degrees. Honestly you bums brew a better light beer it’s hard. And don’t talk to me about Kolsch because they don’t travel well and skink after a month. When I first drank this beer (out of the can because pouring into a glass defeats the purpose you clowns) I thought it was a seltzer. And I mean that in the best possible way because most newer light beers on the market taste way worst then the seltzers coming out. In the past blue moon has given me the runs. We will see how this fairs but so far it does it job which is all we can ask. God bless and good night.

Blue Moon Brewing Co. "Light Sky Citrus Wheat"
12 fl. oz. can coded "JUL0422 02 E1010190548". Sampled on APR2122.
$1.99 @ Total Wine & More, Cherry Hill, NJ

Notes via stream of consciousness: A rough pour has brought up a massive head of bright white foam atop a hazy light yellow-gold body. The aroma is 100% tangerine-like. I'm not finding any malt, just tangerine, and it actually seems authentic. I know that it's brewed with tangerine peels but it also includes "natural flavor". The taste is not nearly as bright and full as the aroma suggests it will be. Wait a second, is this a hard seltzer? Only kidding. The flavor is not as rich and full as you might expect given the aroma but it IS a light beer at just 4% ABV and 95 calories. There's some sweetish and wheaty malt flavor to it and the tangerine remains, it's just not as strong as if you'd just torn the peel of one open. It's not that bitter but it does finish dry as there's really not that much malt there. Now I have to ask myself how to rate it. It's a light beer but it's a light beer with fruit added. Would I rather have this or some other standard light beer? I think I would get tired of this but I'd probably also get tired of most other light beers as well. I don't know but it's pretty damned good for a light beer. The head has held up really well and there's a cyclone of splashes and spots of lace above. In the mouth it's light bodied and gently crisp. All in all I have to hand it to them as this is a great beer that puts a dent in the light beer market with just 95 calories.

It is really unfair to rate lo-cal beers with all the other much higher calorific, and admittedly, fuller-bodied beers. So I won't. I am rating this against the other lo-cal beers alone. It is a delightful change from the most popular Bud Light, Coors Light, Miller Lite, and all the others. As a summer beer it is the best, having more flavor and zest than the rest. As a winter beer, it is a refreshing, non-filling beverage suitable after a hard day of strenuous work or exercise. High carbonization provides the cleansing tickle needed by a dry throat. The Tangerine overtone is different without tasting artificial or overwhelming. Not having the cloying feeling of sugared soft drinks, it provides yet another alternative. The wheat overtones with just a touch of hops make it unique. If you want a light refreshment, perhaps followed by another, please give this a try.

Blue moon is my favorite big label beer, so this is a big disappointment for me. Bland, watery taste mediated somewhat by high carbonation and slight acidity. Almost no smell, but looks appropriately cloudy with extra thick head. Hard to complain too much given its calorie count, but I expected better.

16 FL. OZ. can
Served in a pint glass

This beer pours straw colored with a slight haze. It is topped with an inch of head that leaves spotty lacing.

I get some orange peel which is actually a nice aroma. I really don't get much else.

The taste is almost nonexistent. I get light tangerine. It tastes like a tangerine Bud Dry.

Thin bodied with an effervescent and dry mouthfeel

If you like lightly flavored, carbonated, orange water then this just might be the beverage for you. I do not like carbonated water.

The taste was horrible. The tangerine peel ruined the beer for me. I couldn't finish the can. Unfortunately I bought a 12 pack. Poured the rest down the drain.

Pours pale yellow with a 1" white head, which fades to a wisp. Light lacing.

Aroma is floral, orange, slight grass.

Taste is orange, tangerine, wheat, biscuit.

Thin body, light carbobation. Semidry finish.

For a lo-cal this is a pretty good beer.

As with most low-calorie beers, this is just too much of a trifle to give a prodigious rating. Very light-bodied, and mild-flavored--almost not there. But what is there gives this light beer some value. The beer is well-carbonated, not gassy, leaving some nice lacing at the top of the glass. The tangerine flavor, while mild, is nicely subtle, and completely avoid the too sweet issue. It leaves this summer wheat ale as a trifling, yet pleasant hot weather option.

Appearance: Pours a light orange color. Clear. Mild head. SMR of 7. (3.75)

Aroma: Strong aromas or orange citrus, and mandarin orange. Tropical & Juicy.

Flavor: Strong flavors of orange, mandarin orange, tropical orange with hints of mango & pineapple. A wheat body. Finishes light and clean.

Feel: Light to medium bodied. Strong carbonation. Finishes clean with a light and clean citrus note.

Compared to Shock Top 7/12/21: Pours a lighter color. Stronger aromas. More orange citrus, mandarine orange. Less wheat and pale/adjunct malts. A lighter body.

Overall: This is an excellent summer beer for 95 calories. Blue Moon did well on this one and I could see it sticking around for a while. It has nice orange citrus and mandarin orange flavors. Juicy, yet light. The body is light as you'd expect. Drinks like a summer beer and this might be a new staple for the summer from Blue Moon. (Final Rating: 4.01)

A: Slightly hazy, pale yellow.
S: Tangerines.
T: Mostly the watery taste of a light beer, but there is a slightly sweet, tangerine aftertaste that lingers for a bit.
M: Very light bodied.
O: This is a solid beer. If you're counting calories and looking for a light beer of the Michelob Ultra caliber, then this would be a great choice. It has all the health "benefits" of a light beer with a decent tangerine flavor.

Belgian Blue Moon LightSky

Look: Golden color, with a little bit of haze, slightly off white head.

Smell: Very good, Orange gummies, sweet, a bit of bubble gum to it. Orange peel,

Taste: Bready orange candy, but not as nice as the smell. The bredy biscuity is present .

Feel: Light to medium body. Medium carbonation.

So overall would I recomend it ? Yes, one of a good light beer with flavor.

Would I buy it again ? Yes but only when there is a special on it cuz I find it pretty expensive.

Pours a slightly hazy pale yellow with a white head that dissipates quickly. It smells like sweet tangerine with hints of sweet malty and wheat notes as well. The taste follows the nose and has a decent bit of tangerine flavor up front and finishes with a satisfying maltiness that's not too sweet or bitter. It goes down super easily and has a pleasant higher than average carbonation. Overall pretty good and better than the original blue moon.

This ultralight is ok. I mean less flavor is expected for this kind of beer.
The problem was the way it liquefied my bowels.
I had 5 and was feeling good when my stomach turned.
I have a standard diet and the only thing that changed was this beer being introduced.
I have never had this kind of reaction to a beer but certain things can make this happen. I like the beer but dang.
Im gonna have to suggest not
