Beer pours a purple-ish amber, if that is such a thing with little head retention. Smells very faintly of berries,no hops noted. Tastes....not very tart, but rather a semi-sweet, ever-so-slightly sour beer. Mouthfeel is astringent, thin and tartness/acidity burns a little.
Overall, I guess its still a beer, but I wouldn't drink again. It is almost like they were torn between making a fruit beer and a sour ale but combined both and the results aren't spectacular. Would like to have more pronounced fruit character and tartness with less acidity. I would give this to a wine drinker that didn't usually drink beer.
