Notes: A hazy, soft, and juicy IPA carefully crafted to showcase the tropical notes of these specially-processed hops. We hope you enjoy it with good company and remember, a brewery is really just a series of tubes.

A: The beer is very hazy to cloudy whitish yellow in color. It poured with a finger high dense off white head that died down, leaving a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface and lots of lacy rings of bubbles down the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of mangos, orange citrus, and stone fruit are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has lots of flavors of tropical and citrusy hops. No bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels medium-bodied and very juicy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This New England-style IPA is incredibly juicy and has a nice mix of citrus and tropical fruits in the aromas and flavors.

16oz can served in a can-shaped glass. Canned on 05/13/20. Gift from @mr-jj.

Pours fairly hazy, light amber, poured slowly resulted in a big head. Collapses slowly. Smell is bright almost citrus fruit -- pineapple, starfruit are the ones that come to mind.

Taste is mild, juicy, almost watery. A little bit of hop resin.

Mouthfeel is thin, slightly slick, moderately still. Overall, not bad.

Mostly cloud orange with a white head and lacing. Mango, melon rind, pithy grapefruit, pineapple, and general tropical fruit. Taste is pretty much the same but gets a little watered down by the finish besides hop bitters, some orange added too. Feel is airy, hop shaped, and slightly watery by the finish. Good but not great

1 PINT can
Served in a stemless wine glass

This beer pours hazy and an orangish yellow color. It is topped with an inch of tan head that leaves spotty lacing.

The smell is citrus with hints of melon and tropical fruit.

It has a nice citrus flavor. Grapefruit stands out. The finish has a little pine.

Medium bodied with a creamy mouthfeel

This is a solid beer. I had a little higher expectations, but I am not mad I bought it.

Poured from 16oz tall can into my BeerAdvocate teku. Canned 5/13/20.

Appearance: rich orange hue with a moderate haze and two thick fingers of pillowy ivory foam. Perhaps not quite as hazy as I associate with the style, but still very nice.

Smell: a lot of mango and orange in this one; it's sweet and earthy and delightful.

Taste: a lot like the aroma, although there's a more bitter, almost rind-y character along with the orange. It's a little bit harsh, though still quite nice.

Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.

Overall: this is a good beer, although it seems a little rough-around-the-edges for the style.

One of the best by Masthead. Only a few beers that I have ever enjoyed more. NEIPAs are their best style and this will not disappoint and represents them well.

Opaque sherbet orange with a thin white blanket fading to a thin ring leaving some wavy lace.

Smell is sticky, dank peach, mango, pineapple and peppery pine.

Taste starts with a graham-tinged buttermilk biscuit malt that's hopped up with strong notes of PEZ, grapefruit and papaya, finishing with a biting, aspirin-like chalky mango.

A soft froth fills the medium body before a sharply stinging semi-dry finish.

The smell is markedly better than taste for this most recent batch.

My oh my! I'm a bit startled by the depth of body to this beer - it has a tremendously thick, chewy mouthfeel to it. For some reason, I just never expect that of an IPA. This is easily richer than half of the last barrel-aged stouts or strong ales that I've enjoyed. I'm quite impressed in that regard.

It also has a lovely citrus nose - it's sweet and light, reflected in the taste, and it's generally just a very nice, pleasant beer. Yum! Masthead is new to me - they obviously have their shit together. Well done!

Draft pour on release day, 3/3/2018.

Murky, hazy, low-watt yellow liquid served in a 12oz snifter. 1/2 finger, white head quickly dissipates to a rim. Obligatory lacing reference.

That aroma of citrus, high potency grapefruit, lime and pith screams from the vessel. Gets the eyes spinning and landing on dbl hop cones.

The taste follows the explosive aroma but that wonderful hop flavor quickly recedes to a dry, almost forlorn finish.

The body is smooth, light to medium feel, juice front loaded with a dry finish.

This is a nicely done IPA and at 6.7%, well in the wheel house of those looking to crush a few more than socially acceptable.

Good representation of the New England style that is one easy drinker of a beer. Not light by any means, but the oddity that comprises NE IPA makes this beer interesting. Hoppy but not bitter. A wonderfully dank and juicy beer. I imagine that this beer would not be for everyone, but it strikes me as enjoyable and different. Not too far afield from City Dank Juice by Odd Sides Ales. My beer was poured from a 16 ounce can that Masthead recently released. 6.7% alcohol. Nice to see a relatively new brewery finding its sea legs and putting out quality beer. Soon I'll be heading up to their place and try it on tap. (Be sure to sneak in some pizza too.)
