Copenhagen 17/2 2022. 50 cl can from Mikkeller webshop. Red can with a crude, cartoonish drawing of a manic turtle receiving messages about hops on his cell phone.
Pours opaque hazy, golden yellow with a huge white head. Stable. Settles as uneven, lumpy layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet, odor of tropical fruits mingling with a light citric scent. Mango, papaya and passion fruit. Clementines and lemon. Substantial lacing.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, smooth, silken, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a notable sweet undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is rather dry.
Pleasant, smooth and pretty light.
