Went here for my bachelor party on an absolutely perfect Saturday evening in July.
The restaurant is nice, but not spectacular. Soccer and rugby are usually playing on the television, and the decor consists of your typical American Irish Brew Pub.
Pool tables are upstairs, and an amazing top floor, outdoor lawn bowling court can be found there as well.
If you go early you will find a very relaxed atmosphere with people bringing their families to relax on the outdoor patio which actually has two levels as well as having another patio on the street outside.
If you go late you will be lucky to find a seat, lucky to get a beer in under 15 minutes, and lucky to get a spot on the lawn bowling court in under 90 minutes.
The place is great for finding a "date" if that is what you are looking for, and we had a fantastic time smoking big nasty cigars, and getting "pissed".
The food was "meh". I had bangers and mash (sausage and potatoes) and was filled up, but not left dreaming of more, and it wasn't exactly cheap.
Good place to visit if you are in town on business or just looking for a place to raise hell with your friends, but don't go their for great food or to entertain your kids.

A large pub with a big staircase, standard UK airport pub food though a bit better, basic UK and British Isle beers, whiskeys. There's a large rooftop that is fun. Busy and in downtown MPLS. Don't forget about Anchor Fish n Chips in NE. However Brit's is nice. Prices are slightly higher. Good service.

I've been to this place more than once, and can't believe that I neglected to review it. Located downtown, it is easy to find. It has the feel of a legitimate British pub. During the season, there will be soccer playing on the TV's and lawn bowling outside. There are multiple rooms and two levels. I've only had the beer, which is a great draft selection, filled with plenty of English ales. My wife and I had the pleasure of visiting once during New Years Eve, when a bagpiper and free sparkling wine toast was handed out when it was midnight in London.

Cool British pub with three Fullers on draft and some local and bottles. Pretty good food.

Strong beer line up with an English emphasis, super lively, busy, fun place. I was there on a business trip and it was a welcomed getaway after a day's work.

Came here during a recent work trip to Minneapolis and Saint Paul.
Had a pint of Summit Saga IPA, which was one of only eight local craft beers on tap. It was just okay.
Some decent imports (Fuller’s ESB, Young’s Double Chocolate Stout) and out-of-state beers (Deschutes Fresh Squeezed IPA, Sierra Nevada Hazy Little Thing) also available, but to be honest the draft lineup paled in comparison to most of the places that I hit in the Twin Cities.
Service was indifferent as the bartender was unwilling to engage and she seemed to think it was strange that I was by myself.
Atmosphere was the typical North American take on a faux Brit Pub. Bleh.
I left after one beer and would not come back in future. Very disappointing.

English pub downtown in Minneapolis within a three tiered building capable of holding massive amounts of people. The pub holds a large outdoor area for lawn bowling on the second level that has also been used for national level pole vaulting events. Great place to watch soccer and rugby and has an enjoyable atmosphere overall. If one is a fan of authentic English style beers, this is the place to go. They carry at least 3 or 4 Fullers beers at once in addition to the expected beers in US version of an English or Irish pub. They also carry a few local beers. The pricing is very much in line with other establishments downtown with their quality of beer and venue. The food is also quite good. Their menu actually seems a bit larger than other English pubs I have been to and their prices are typical of downtown restaurants, but not over the top

Good example of an American British pub. Good selection of english ales, but the same stuff and you can find anywhere. The food was good pub grub and the atmosphere was good (it was a pretty good crowd on a tuesday night). Wait staff was average. Overall, not bad, but not great either.

In terms of selection, this is the typical British import line-up (which is kind of disappointing, considering they're successful enough to throw in a little something a bit more interesting) and then some locals...good vibe and the lawn bowling in the summer makes it stand out.

It has a decent vibe, a reasonable selection and some nice scotches. Its a good location to rest your feet. The sidewalk tables are nice in the summer.

Brit's Pub is one of those eating establishments that has a great reputation with a wide range of people. It seems everyone has been there one time or another.
As a beer geek destination, it doesn't really hold up. While Brit's does have 20 taps by my count, they are the basic UK bar line up: Speckled Hen, Guinness, Newcastle, Boddington's (maybe the prettiest poured pint ever), Strongbow and the like. I noticed locals from Fulton and Surly as well on this trip.
For many, Brit's is the stop when going to Orchestra Hall for a show. Today, that was my excuse to have a couple of pints while Gloria prepped with One Voice for the opening concert of Chorus America, which was a great concert for those who like choral music.
For today's stop, I started with the Fuller's London Pride on cask to go with a true British feel. It was tasty and well served. It's the only cask engine, but at least they seem to be handling the cask well from this sample. I had a cask of this at The Blackfriar in London, possibly one of the coolest pubs in the world.
Next was a glass of Stella Artois, the Budweiser of the EU. A better beer than Bud, but it is a ubiquitous beer much in the same vein. However, SA likes to maintain a more sophistcated profile, so I guess that's why there's a separate tap for it. The website, as with most macro websites, was relatively useless in telling me why, but the video of the 9 step process to pour a chalice of SA (SA's word--they are fussy about that as well) points to how serious they are to have a well poured beer. Or, at least how serious they are about making it look like SA is a high end product. When I asked the waitress what it did besides keep it ice cold, she shrugged sarcastically and said "nothing".
I didn't eat here tonight, but have generally been very happy with the food and service at Brit's. The beer is well served and the place is cozy and a generally a great place to have a chat. Besides the less than adventuresome beer list (though true to their marketing), the only other negative I've had with Brit's is that the bar seems to smell funny to me. Not sure why--spilled beer stank maybe, but a minor detail and it seemed less pronounced on this trip. I don't go out of my way to drink at Brit's, but I'm perfectly happy when I find my there, pint in hand.

A- A step up from the average American take on Euro pubs. Many cool historical pictures hang on the walls, a couple tvs typically showing soccer. Lawn bowling outside.
Q- No quality issues.
Ser- Service is quick and friendly when they aren't busy. When they are busy it seems disproportionately slow. But 80% of the time, it's good service.
Sel- A couple nice English finds on tap (olde speckled hen, tetley's) but most of the tap list is your Boddington's, Bass, Carlsberg, etc. Bottle list is unimpressive, mostly macros.
F- Food is decent, but not great. Tandoori chicken sandwich is satisfying. French fries are average.
About 10 bucks a sandwich, 15 for entree plates. Beers are about 5 bucks.

Stopped in here a couple nights before Christmas. Really cool atmosphere with a nice large fireplace and a good looking bar. The decor looked like an authentic British pub with touches of American football (i.e. Vikings stuff) hanging up around the place. There was seating upstairs and downstairs. The taps are almost all British beers which isn't surprising considering the fact that it is a British pub. The bottle list was depressingly awful. They had Corona (what was more depressing was the fact that some dude was drinking bottled Corona in a British pub!) I had Summit's Scotch-style ale (two actually) and I had to have a Tetley's because I never had tried one before. The food was pretty good. Everyone enjoyed their selections. Service was swift and friendly. Overall, it was a good experience. The taps were pretty good and so was the food.
