Located close to the Metra station, it makes for an easy jaunt out from the City.
It is also close to Pints, Beerhead, Flight 112, Tannins & Fitz’s Sparekeys, so this is a beer rich environment.
They have kind of an interesting L shaped space with a slightly raised section that adds some visual appeal.
As you enter, you give them your ID and they give you a card that you use to activate the sensors to pour beer from the 48 taps (42 to 44 are beer, the rest ciders and meads).
They have a glass rack to select your glassware. They also have those jet washers to use between servings.
You can pour as little or as much of each beer as you choose. They offer lots of styles and independent breweries to choose from. They rotate taps often and their website does a good job of showing what is on tap and what is on deck.
The workers are friendly and they sometimes have a beer expert stationed near the taps.
I have never eaten here but have heard the BBQ is solid.
Once you have 32 oz of beer, your card will no longer work. You have to get it reauthorized and this allows them to check for overserved patrons.
Prices are on the steep side but since you are not really tipping, I guess it balances out.
I enjoy the variety of beer and the ability to get small to large samples, however I often find myself going somewhere else so I can get waited on…… Still it is well worth a stop if you find yourself close by.

Long narrow tap room where at your speed you can use a card and go up to 30 some taps with the info above on visual screens and fill up as many ounces in your tulip glass that they give you for each pour. I was impressed by the quality of the selections including very local breweries. Best to try 2-3 oz. pours.
